I seldom write a review, but Dr Houchin took the time to figure out what was wrong with my mother when many doctors could not. Don’t judge him based on some mediocre reviews. Remember, this is not a marriage proposal. He is a brilliant specialist who probably finds most questions annoying.

If I can give 0 star I would. Very rude, disrespectful and discriminatory receptionist or front person. Plus, she and another staff were fighting loudly that all the patients can hear them and they don’t care. Dr. Houchin is alright but I’m supposed to have a follow up appointment but I'm going to look for another doctor because I have never been treated poorly and disrespected by a clinic staff until this clinic. Very disappointing and disgusting customer service. I don’t think I will be cured or healed with this kind of environment, not very healthy! Dr. Houchin, you were highly recommended by my other eye doctor, please train your staff with good manners and right conduct and train them well on good customer service. You are in the business of healing people but your patients are stressed just by being inside your clinic and be treated poorly by your staff.
My personal experience wasn't great with this practice. While Dr. Houchin's was very thorough with my history and symptoms, it felt like he was writing a report about me instead of actually treating me. I saw another Neuro-Opth a few weeks after visiting his office and was immediately started on treatments to save my vision. The new doctor was shocked I had not been started on treatment with how much my condition had progressed. If you're looking for quick answers/treatment I don't know that this is the right practice for you :(
Want to go see a grumpy old doctor who neither smiles nor show's appreciation or warmth to his clients? Welcome Dr. “no zest for life.” You can wave to him with a smile and he will look at you with zero acknowledgment nor care that he even saw you. This clinic also boasts the worst wait time I've ever experienced with an average wait time of 2 hours. So bring a book. This doctor never seems to find any solutions to your issues and will send you for numerous costly tests with even more lack of answers. This Albert Einstein lookalike will chastise you for having questions or even trying to help. I've never felt such gloom or dismal an experience as to having entered the doors of this mortuary. Stay far away. Not recommended. Find a doctor who smiles and brings hope to his patrons.
What is wrong with this man? He is horrible and rude! He told my teen daughter that she's overweight but she's not. She just wears baggy clothes! She's very fit, runs, and is in JROTC. He doesn't explain anything and is one of the worst human beings I've ever met. He was obnoxiously rude & arrogant. How can this man be a doctor?? It's really sad that Las Vegas is so limited on options that this is acceptable.
