Keri Owyang Chapman

I have not yet visited the office, but I want to share my experience with the pre-appointment process and my interactions as a new patient. I was searching for a new optometrist in the area and, based on positive reviews, scheduled an appointment with Dr. Owyang. I completed all requested patient and medical history forms in advance. About a week before my appointment, I was asked to call the office to discuss insurance and received multiple reminders to do so. I did not complete this step in time, and the day before my appointment, I received an unexpectedly harsh email from Dr. Owyang herself, in which she emphasized in all caps that my appointment would be CANCELED if I did not confirm. It appears that no time is allocated during appointments to discuss patient history or insurance, which made the process feel rushed. I would also like to note that three steps are required to be seen here: scheduling an appointment, completing the paperwork, and confirming by phone. Based on this experience, I decided to cancel my appointment, as I did not feel comfortable being treated by someone who seemed impatient and exhibited an overly aggressive demeanor. I encourage others to explore the many optometrists available in the area before choosing Dr. Owyang, as I found her approach to patient communication disappointing and potentially stressful for new patients.

Dr. Owyang is great! I've been going to her for years. Even though I've moved farther away, I still choose Dr. Owyang as my Optometrist because her office is organized and clean and she's very kind. She invests in upgrading her equipment to make eye exams more comfortable for patients, and she takes time to explain the results.

I love this office! Dr. Owyang is easy to talk to and patient in working through your prescription. My appointments are always right on time. ( One of my biggest issues with drs.) He clearly gets my time is valuable too. His staff helped me pick out glasses that are by far the best choice for me that I have ever had. I receive soooo many compliments. I highly recommend.

Normally I don’t see a huge difference in eye care providers, but this time I did and I will definitely be back. Dr. Keri helped me get a prescription that was better than I have seen in years. Not only that, but she was so kind, especially when my child care fell through last minute and I brought my wiggly one year old.

Every time I see Dr. Owyeng, I think, I am so glad an old co worker told me about this place. Dr. Keri Owyeng is awesome, always makes me feel at ease about myopia. I was very hesitant to dispose of the last pair of lenses I wore in today, but she told me she is giving me a new pair since the old ones were uh.... lets just say, well beyond their expiration date. God bless this woman! Her office assistant is great also. I didnt have insurance this year and am on a tight budget, so i was actually going to go to costco optical this year. But Keri's assistant was so nice and she told me you can get Vision insurance at an affordable price, so I did, and I got to see Dr. Owyeng after all. Highly recommend this place.
