Kids Eye Care Of Maryland

We had a wonderful experience bringing our son to this office. Dr. Andy Cheng was fantastic! He was kind, patient, and very thorough. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made our son feel comfortable throughout the visit. The entire staff was amazing. The front desk team was friendly, and efficient, and the technicians were knowledgeable and great with children. Everyone we interacted with was professional and caring. We are very grateful for the excellent care our son received and highly recommend Dr. Andy Cheng and his team to anyone looking for a great ophthalmology practice.

I know this review is long overdue, but I feel it is important to share our experience. Both of my children were seen at Kids Eye Care of Maryland in April 2024 by Dr. Samuel Chado. At the time, my son was 4 and my daughter was 8. We went there because our usual eye-care practice in Clarksville was scheduling appointments much farther out. The appointment felt extremely rushed, and both of my children were given prescriptions for glasses after refractive testing. I was not comfortable with how quickly the recommendation was made, especially with such young children, so I decided not to fill the prescriptions and instead waited for appointments with our previous practice. At their follow-up evaluations, I was told both children had 20/20 vision, with my son also having astigmatism, and we did not move forward with the glasses that had been prescribed here. I also called the office last year and spoke with a manager before posting this review. I explained my concerns and was assured someone would call me back to discuss the matter. No one ever did. Parents, especially those with very young children, please be cautious and do not be afraid to get a second opinion if something does not feel right. In my opinion, recommending something a child does not actually need is extremely serious, especially when it involves a child’s developing eyes and vision. Medical providers should be protecting children and making recommendations based on what is truly medically necessary. I am very disappointed with our experience and with the lack of follow-up after I tried to address my concerns.

I called on a holiday weekend eve and got an appointment for monday morning. The lady on the phone was so sweet. Monday morning rolls around and we are greeted by 2 younger ladies. Both were so kind and amazing with my daughter. It was a bit of a wait but definitely not 2 hours. We were warned so it was no big deal. Dr. Rosin is FANTASTIC! He is light hearted, joyful, but also incredibly thorough. From the first phone call to the exit, this office exemplified warm professionalism. I truly feel like my daughter's condition was treated by the best of the best. They deserve raises and the frostiest air conditioning ;)

Kids Eye, is an awsome place, they are always welcoming and good and listening. Despite their tight schedule, they will always squeeze you inn when you need an appointment. It doesn't just take a single doctor to help you , but a combined effort with other doctors. They lay out all the scenarios, gives you all their opinions, choose the best for you and listen to your outcome. The fact they there are always very patient and don't rush you is a plus. I will alwys recommend them.

From the moment my child and I walked in, the front desk staff was very welcoming, pleasant, and professional. They made the check-in process smooth and created a comfortable environment right away. The staff member who administered the eye drops was also very kind and patient. She made sure my child was comfortable during the process and handled everything with care. Dr. Patel was absolutely wonderful. She was very patient and gentle while examining my child’s eyes, especially during the testing process. She took her time, explained everything clearly, and made sure my child felt at ease the entire time. It’s not always easy to find a doctor who is great with kids, but Dr. Patel was friendly, engaging, and very reassuring. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly appreciate the care and professionalism from the entire team. I would definitely recommend this office to other families.
