Polite, and professional staff. Super friendly and welcoming as well. Overall very warm, relaxing and stress free experience. Great selection of frames and amazing service for contact lenses. I've been using glasses for over a decade and this is the best optimitrist office I've been to.

Took my children for eye exams this morning. I have two vision plans that should have covered their exams completely. She stated that the fee was for a photo, I’m assuming a fundus photo since I’ve worked in ophthalmology for 6 years. I agree that insurance won’t cover that unless medically necessary. My children just needed to be dilated for their exams and absolutely did not need a fundus photo. I was not paying $49.00 per child for an unnecessary fundus photo, so I left. Would not recommend seeing as after reviewing the google reviews and seeing the charge was $39 last month. Unfortunately, this is a rip off and possibly fraudulent.

Affordable, Amazing & very friendly staff, clean and well maintained office, love this office. The imaging fee is currently mandatory for their business which is multiple locations which is actually a good thing to catch possible issues down the road and get preventative treatment. People need to stop complaining.

My mom went in for an eye appointment a few weeks ago. They make you pay for retinal imaging and from what I’ve seen it’s not optional. So even if you have a 0$ copay, you have to pay $39 for retinal imaging, no matter your insurance. They are also pretty vague about the price of glasses after insurance. Also, after that same appointment, my mom attempted to get 2 pairs of glasses, which cost about 113$ including the retinal imaging fee, well once we put her card into the machine to pay, it decided to take all the money on the card (about 150$) then they claimed it actually didn’t go through, and that we’d have to wait for it to clear on our end and come back later to pay for it. It took 3 days or so to get our money back, and my mom decided to just pay the imaging fee and get the glasses from somewhere else. This retinal imaging fee was not always mandatory, as we’ve been going here for years and we’ve never had to pay for it before. Even if you get state insurance (Medicaid/CHIP) you still have to pay the imaging fee per person unless they decide to be courteous and waive the fee for you. We won’t be coming back here next year…

Yesterday I took my wife and daughter to Killeen Vision for their yearly eye exams. We specifically chose this location because our Aetna vision policy shows $0 copays for annual exams. When we arrived, we were told there would be a $39 charge per person because the office automatically includes retinal imaging as part of their exam process. The issue is that this was never clearly explained upfront, and we were never given the option to decline it before the exams started. If retinal imaging is something optional and not fully covered by insurance, patients should be informed ahead of time and allowed to choose whether they want it. Instead, it felt like an extra charge was simply added onto the exam without proper transparency. I ended up paying almost $80 that I did not expect to pay based on our insurance coverage. Had they explained everything clearly and given us the option beforehand, this probably would not have been an issue. The staff was polite, but the billing practice felt misleading and left a bad impression. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will not be returning.
