Lakeland Ophthalmology is the best practice ever. From the very first call to make the appointment through the entire process everyone was professional friendly and thorough. The office staff was very attentive to my needs getting me right in for my serious eye problem. The clinical group was very supportive and reassuring getting every detail covered. Dr. Hershfeld is a true professional taking the time for a complete extensive exam. Taking the extra time to explain the diagnosis treatment and medications was refreshing. The whole experience was truly exceptional!

I've been going to Dr. Hirshfeld for my annual checkups for many years. He and the staff are always kind, efficient, and the wait times are very short, which is incredibly convenient for my busy schedule. The office has a welcoming environment and is always clean and orderly. I love that Craig in optical is knowledgeable, patient, and provides great service without any pressure to upsell. I have been a patient of Dr. Hirschfeld for many years. I recently had cataract surgery and am extremely pleased with the results. The entire process went smoothly. All of the staff (always so patient-centered) was so supportive and caring. Having been away for three years, I had a lot of catching up to do with Dr. Hirschfeld (as well as his competent and very professional staff). As usual, he was thorough and completely answered all my questions. He doesn’t “over prescribe” which I think is important. Dr. Hirschfield reminded me that I had my cataract surgery with him 11 years ago in which he put in what was called a toric lens and giving me for the first time in my life close to 20/20 vision — never had it before. I always wore glasses and contacts. Asa result of my surgery with him over the last 11 years, I see really really really really well at age 82. I see better than I did when I was 40. Highly recommend Dr Hirschfeld.

I could not speak more highly of my experience having laser cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr. Hirschfeld. I thought I lost vision in my eye 30 years ago and thanks to Dr Hirschfeld and his colleagues, I now have 20/20 vision at the age of 73 and almost like a new lease on life.
