They were kind getting my daughter in without an appointment while she was having emergency eye problems and needed a referral fast. When they saw her insurance, they said they didn’t have a doctor on staff that could help with her situation, but when i offered to pay for the visit out of pocket, only then was the doctor available. Like magic! out of no where he pops up! It was a little weird. The head of office manager takes my 22 year old daughter’s vision photos and tells her she is eating too much fried food and has cholesterol build up! Weird! She is skinny and 22 and eats pretty healthy. Then the optometrist doctor tells her she needs glasses, but fails to actually help her with what she came in for. Sat her down and started just making her look through lenses. She was crying and having blind spots and needed help fast to see if she should be concerned and get a referral to a different eye clinic for retina issues or a serious medical issue. They ignored that issue but told her she needs glasses and told her to go pick them out. Not one pair in there were worthy, even if she was needing glasses. All ugly and a very small basic selection. So no answers and I guess she now needs glasses when her eyesight was perfect before and trying to get her to not eat fatty foods. unfortunately now she thinks she is unwell and it gave her more anxiety about having a heart attack over her eating habits at 22! It was a little crazy! I felt it was a little sketchy, but again, they were funny and nice , Dr. was just not much of a listener. The other reviews are quite similar. They were kind enough to follow through with a referral, so we are thankful. A little germ trigger warning though…. They do not clean the eye machine you put your face into between customers. Very unsettling. The chin part of machine was gross. Just very cattle call Style. They are however the only place that takes state insurance in the area so they don’t care much I am figuring. We will be getting a second opinion even though I paid cash! Wasn’t the worst, but be prepared.

The people here were nice. The eye Exam was rushed. I paid $75 to get my glasses shaved down. They were not shaved down. I’ve never had such huge bifocals in my life. but this is my fault for trying a new place because it’s closer to us stay I usually go to Cascade. Guess I’m going back to them. My name is joseph gamble and I approved this message.
Was told at Lakewood eye center I would go blind in my left eye do to a thin spot would leek water inti my eye,, and he highly recommended I buy his expensive eye vitamins. Was told at a eye exam 4 years earlier I had cataracts starting, and on 4 -5 years I may need laser surgery. When I asked of I had cataracts at all he said no. I went to n.w. eye associates for a second opinion, they thourally checked my eyes...they showed me pictures of my now bigger cataracts, and I asked about any week spots...nope. I don't appreciate being lied to, or him pushing his "eye vitamins" at 70$ a bottle, with the integrity of a used car salesman. Imo this guy should loose his license for lying to customers. Will be filing a complaint, and trying to keep from going there and confronting him personally. My health shouldn't be something I get mislead about.
Was told I had slight near sightedness and while I didn’t need them all day, he recommended a pair of computer glasses. $22 with my insurance, $64 with the anti glare (if it’s for computers then you probably need it right?). The prescription for them is +.5, not for nearsightedness at all. I spent $64 on a pair of extremely mild reading glasses. They didn’t even tell me what my prescription was, I had to call and ask. It feels like I got scammed by telling me it would be beneficial for me to wear computer glasses for nearsightedness and making me feel like I need to buy them when they were just reading glasses. I would not have bought them had they told me they were reading glasses, and I’m sure they knew that. When I called to complain, Tim seemed annoyed that I was calling about it. Horrible place, I’m never going back and I’m glad my eyesight is fine because I’m never going back to an eye doctor again.
Overall, business at this eye doctor's office is poor. The primary employee had a negative attitude, but the doctor himself gave me the impression that he was demeaning me because of my insurance and uncomfortable vibes. Finally, they will return your glasses if you do not call them to pick them up within three months. However, you will not even get a call alerting you when they are ready for pickup, therefore I suggest people search elsewhere to prevent needless stress.
