America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

I hadn’t had an eye exam in a long time. Everyone was very professional. Amika(sp?) and Faith were both extremely friendly and put me at ease right away. I was very happy with my experience here.

I had a confirmed appointment at this location today. It was my first time at this location and I thought from some of the reviews that it might be decent. I was wrong! There was only gawking, without a greeting of any kind. I was literally judged as soon as I walked in. Biasly and unprofessionally by the female employee with glasses and an English accent. She was rude, dismissive, condescending, combative, and ignorant. My appointment and insurance information had already been confirmed 2 days prior, so I didn't think I'd have any issues. What a vile person and experience.

Step son was getting contacts and dropped it while trying them on and it had to be replaced. The replacement was either defective or totally the wrong prescription. Instead of admitting that it could be defective or wrong they did an adjustment for that eye and ended up doubling his prescription in that eye even though he kept saying his glasses prescription was fine. Took a total of 3 visits just to get that simple mistake sorted, despite the obvious signs the contact was the issue. Also concerning the doctor wouldn't be concerned that an otherwise healthy kid would have a doubling of corrective power in just a couple weeks between visits.

We love our glasses and its really good it helps a lot it makes difference from my previous glasses we love the service the staff are friendly and accomodating

I LOVE coming to Americas Best in Lakewood. They are always so friendly and super welcoming. Amika and Rowena are amazing. They are super sweet and always go above and beyond to help their customers. I myself work in customer service and commend them and the entire team for their hard work and dedication to their customers.
