Leder Retina & Uveitis

It has been a great experience for me to call upon Dr. Leder for my eyes condition. His office is pleasant and tidy. His staff is accommodating and friendly. Dr. Leder was recommended by an excellent Optometrist who knew he was the best. My condition has improved immensely since I started seeing him. Thanks ever so much, Dr. Leder.

I had an eye visit today at Leder Retina, and my experience was excellent from start to finish. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. Sheilyann Muñoz, the nurse who conducted my eye examination before I saw the doctor, was amazing. She was friendly, professional, and truly elevated the standard for Leder Retina. Dr. Leder has an outstanding staff and team that handle every visit with care. If I had to rate them, I would give them a 10 out of 10.

I have never written a negative review for any doctor, but after today’s appointment,i left feeling so upset that i was on the verge of tears. originally began seeing Dr. Leder last year for a second opinion after losing the vision in my left eye from a serious accident years ago. At the same time, I was recovering from a severe case of uveitis in my right eye—my only seeing eye. After several visits, I decided not to continue pursuing treatment for my left eye because I had a lot happening in my life and had come to terms with the fact that my vision was unlikely to improve. Earlier this week, I began experiencing symptoms that made me fear the uveitis had returned in my right eye. Since it is my only seeing eye, I was genuinely scared. I was grateful to get an appointment so quickly, and the office staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Everything changed when Dr. Leder came into the room. Before I could even explain why I was there, he immediately began questioning why I hadn’t returned over the past year regarding my left eye. His tone felt defensive, frustrated, and confrontational. I was completely caught off guard. I tried to explain that I wasn’t there for my left eye—that I was worried about my right eye—but I was interrupted. After a brief exam, he told me he didn’t see any inflammation, recommended Refresh eye drops, and then said I should see another doctor. I want to be very clear: I am thankful he did not find inflammation. That was the best news I could have received. What broke my heart was how I was treated. I came into that appointment scared about the health of my only seeing eye, looking for reassurance and compassionate care. Instead, I felt dismissed before I even had the opportunity to fully explain what I was experiencing. As patients, we put an incredible amount of trust in our doctors, especially when we’re frightened and vulnerable. I walked into that office anxious, but I never expected to walk out feeling humiliated, unwelcome, and questioning whether my concerns even mattered. This was, without question, the most upsetting experience I have ever had with a physician. I sincerely hope no other patient leaves that office feeling the way I did today.

I am so happy that I found Dr. Leder 2 1/2 years of completely being in the dark with my condition with another LARGE franchise in Jacksonville. I actually missed months of treatments due to misdiagnosis and them not being completely truthful to what one of root causes were. The staff here are very caring and so very professional. Dr. Leder has me on the right track after dealing with a clinic that had their best interests at heart and dollar. I would highly recommend Dr. Leder and staff !! 5 STAR TEAM

The staff in Dr. Leder's office are professional, friendly and welcoming. They are efficient and accommodating at the pre-work they do before seeing the Doctor. And Dr. Leder is awesome ... not easy to say when he gives me shots in one of my eyes. But when my dilated eyes recover after relaxing at home for a few hours, all is well. I am grateful to Dr Leder and his staff for all they do to help me keep my AMD slowed down.
