Last summer I fell and didn’t think I was hurt but had a bit of a blur and some floaters in my eye. After few days without improvement, I could not get into see an ophthalmologist so I went to my local Lenscrafter. Dr. Rafael was able to use a retinol exam to discover a torn retina in my left eye. Without immediate treatment my retina could have detached, requiring major surgery and a 6 month recovery. Dr. Rafael found me a specialist even on a weekend and made sure I was taken care of. So grateful Dr. Rafael went the extra mile and feel great that I have a trusted eye doctor so close by.

John was absolutely outstanding. I went in for a repair to my glasses and John identified the issue immediately and fixed my glasses within minutes. He was extremely personable and had a lovely disposition. I'm looking forward to continued interactions with John and making this location my "go-to" for future purchases of new glasses and sunglasses.
I recently had an exam here. The eye doctor. Dr. Rafael, kept going on about how progressive and bad my cataract had become. She kept going on like I was having a medical emergency and needed surgery immediately. She kept pushing a referral for a nearby UIH eye surgery clinic and even said I needed to go there today. Now I am fully aware of my cataract issue, but my distance sight is no where near the point where I need immediate surgery. I see fine but it has gotten somewhat worse, but not to that point. I told her i did not have insurance and that i could not have the surgery at this time and that it would be 100 percent out of pocket. What I needed and she failed to provide was a referral for a new prescription. There was no real need for immediate surgery. She did not give me a prescription or even talk about that as an option but kept pushing me to go to this eye surgery clinic nearby. It was obvious to me that she probably had some connection to them and may be getting something in return for every referral she makes. I found thier doctor to be dishonest and pushing me to do something which I clearly did not need or want. Horrible service no ability to listen to the concerns and needs of the patient. An update as of 8-6-2026: I had an exam at Warby Parker on Rush street. The doctor also knew of my cataract issue but agreed that I could get and needed a new perscription to deal with the change in my sight over the past year and that it would be fine. He agreed that maybe in the next year or so I may need to look at surgery depending on the movement of the cataract. There was no honest reason for the doctor at Lens Crafters to deny me a new perscription, the doctor at Lens Crafters simply wanted to push her own agenda.
Marcus was excellent—he repaired one pair of my sunglasses and tightened another with care and precision. He was both professional and friendly throughout the process. The store was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend.
Remarkable customer service! Extremely helpful, warm and resourceful staff. I walked in with broken glasses (frames) and they were able to transplant my lenses into a new (slightly different) frame in under 20 minutes. I thought I’d be blurry for three weeks! The whole experience greatly exceeded my expectations.
