Fantastic clinic! I go to see Dr. Cohen and Liz, but everyone in the office is so warm and welcoming I feel like I’m among friends. They’re extremely knowledgeable and always take the time to make sure I have frames that look great, contacts that feel good to wear, and get the best price with my insurance (plus they take eyemed and VSP). Love this place!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I’m extremely disappointed with my experience, particularly with how the billing was handled. Before my baby’s appointment, I specifically asked whether the InfantSEE exam for babies 6–12 months old was free, as advertised on their website. I also specifically explained that I only wanted the routine wellness exam. I was told that the exam was free and that there would only be an additional fee if I wanted the doctor to specifically evaluate my baby’s reported eye turn. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed. After the appointment, I was surprised to receive a $135 charge toward our insurance deductible. When I questioned the charge, I was told that because an eye turn had been reported when scheduling, the visit had to be treated as a medical eye exam and billed to insurance. I understand that there may be rules regarding medical concerns and insurance billing, but my issue is that this was not communicated to me beforehand. In fact, the information I was given led me to believe the opposite. The office later acknowledged that this was not clearly communicated ahead of the visit and said they would review their scheduling process. However, I am still left responsible for a charge that I would have understood and made a different decision about had I been given accurate information from the beginning!

I’ve been a patient at Lyons Family Eye Care for years, and I can’t recommend them enough. Dr. Tom is fantastic...consistently professional, thorough, and easy to talk to. One of my favorite things about this practice is how easy it is to communicate. I usually just text them and always get a fast, helpful reply. Their prices are very fair, especially for the high level of service you receive. Tons of frame options, too. I highly recommend LFEC.

Professional, clean, and a truly great experience! We took our four-year-old for his first eye exam, and the entire team was wonderful. From the front desk and the medical assistant to the doctor, everyone was highly professional and welcoming. They made the visit comfortable and stress-free. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for excellent care.

Doctors are SUPER knowledgeable, staff is VERY friendly, and they have the best selection of eyewear I have seen in a lonnngggg time. Finally, a place that is honest and reliable. Rare for Chicago's North side. The location is super fun, and it's easy to find parking. A+ for families or first timers.
