Excellent Care from Dr. Yousufzai, but My Concerns About MEC Remain My experience with Marietta Eye Clinic (MEC) has been a mixture of positive and negative experiences. I recently returned to MEC’s East Cobb Office for an appointment with Dr. Bilal Yousufzai at 9:05 AM. I arrived at 8:50 AM and, unlike some of my previous visits, I was called fairly quickly after checking in. This was a pleasant improvement. Dr. Yousufzai was excellent. He was professional, attentive, and thorough, and he took the time to explain my eye condition in detail and give me clear advice. I appreciate the way he communicates with patients and would give him 5 stars. Unfortunately, my overall opinion of MEC is still affected by my experience with cataract surgery three years ago. Dr. Charles Ho performed my surgery using Multifocal IOLs after telling me they would allow me to see at different distances. However, my near vision remained blurry and I developed double vision. It has now been three years since my cataract surgery, and there has still been no improvement. I continue to have double vision and need reading glasses for close-up reading. I also noticed something different during this recent visit. Previously, I saw the equipment being sanitized before it was used to examine my eyes. This time, I did not see the equipment being sanitized before my examination. I do not know whether the clinic has changed its procedure, but I was concerned enough to notice the difference. Although I had a very good experience with Dr. Yousufzai, my unresolved experience following cataract surgery continues to affect my overall confidence in MEC. I would highly recommend Dr. Yousufzai, but my overall experience with MEC remains disappointing.

My previous experiences with ophthalmologists usually involved 30 minutes of uncomfortable investigation followed by a dry account of my ocular health. What a pleasant surprise to find Dr. Masoudi and her extern. The extern who ran the tests was courteous, friendly and gentle. That was followed by an explanation of findings by Dr. Masoudi who took her time answering my questions in a manner that I understood. I didn't feel rushed. Dr. Masoudi is obviously passionate about her profession and clearly cares for her patients. It's rare I list five stars.

Overall experience: disappointing. Don't be misled by the review average — my visit didn't reflect it. The optometry department felt impersonal and profit-driven. Staff didn't recall my visit from the prior week, errors were made during my visit, and I felt rushed out rather than helped. Be aware of their 90-day policy before booking — ask for it in writing. Would not return.

I had a serious eye infection. I called Mariette Eye Clinic on Roswell road near my home. They scheduled an appointment the same day with Doctor Quynh Dinh O. D. Doctor Dinh throughly examined my eyes and accurately diagnosed the cause, and prescribed the appropriate medication for my eyes to quickly recover. Doctor Dinh provided exemplary patient care. I highly recommend Doctor Dinh.

Absolutely awesome! I wouldn't trust my eye care, particularly cataract surgery, to anyone else but Dr Ho and the professionals at Marietta Eye Clinic. My laser surgery was performed by Dr Ho at Northside Hospital. It was perfect from start to finish. Followup care was outstanding. I highly recommend Marietta Eye Clinic.
