I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from your office. I tested positive for the flu and strep throat three days ago and made repeated attempts to contact your front desk at various times to reschedule my appointment. No one answered my calls. I also reached out to the after-hours line and received no follow-up. This complete lack of communication is unacceptable for any medical facility. Because no one responded, I had no choice but to drive 40 minutes to your office with my 18-month-old child while I was still sick, simply to avoid being marked as a no-show. After checking in and waiting for 15 minutes, I was then told that the doctor could not see me due to my illness. When I explained the situation and my efforts to reach your office, I was given the explanation that there were only two staff members available despite having four doctors. Staffing shortages are an internal issue and should not negatively impact patients to this extent. This situation reflects a serious breakdown in basic patient care, communication, and office management. Expecting a sick patient with a young child to travel that distance—only to be turned away—is both unreasonable and unacceptable. I strongly urge you to address these issues immediately, including improving phone responsiveness, after-hours support, and front desk staffing. No patient should have to go through this experience.
