Dr. Stupiansky is fantastic. Her exam was very thorough and she explained a lot more than I’ve ever had another Optometrist do. The rest of the staff was also great and they fixed some of my older glasses that I got at a different company. Highly recommend.

Dr. Stupiansky is great! Fast yet thorough and takes the time to answer all my questions. Her staff are super helpful. It's always complicated navigating insurance for purchasing glasses and contacts. Her staff know all the ins and outs of different insurance companies (they've worked with me on two insurers). They've helped me get insurance authorization needed, and when insurance hasn't covered, they've shared rebate options available. I've previously had difficult experiences with other optometrists, so it was a relief to find Metropolitan Optical!
I went there twice and twice had my sight measured, but they couldn't get it right. The sales lady pushed me to buy a second pair of glasses to "take advantage" of my frame benefit, which would have costed me $900 extra dollars, which I was willing to pay if I knew they were going to get my measure right, but no, twice checked and twice wrong. I'm glad I didn't get the second pair of glasses.
They're very nice but I felt pressured into buying overpriced, mass-produced, low-quality Luxottica frames, even after I expressed my desire to buy my frames elsewhere. I will be finding a new eye doctor because of this. You can buy much higher quality, handmade frames for the same price, or even cheaper, elsewhere. I cannot recommend this office, especially for someone who is new to needing glasses like myself and is susceptible to such pressure. The employees here should feel ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people just to make an extra buck. Doctors should be focused on providing care, not making themselves wealthier than they already are.
I had a great experience with this optical team. They were very attentive about my eye needs and my person style. I learned so much about MY eyes that I never knew just by the kindness and patience from Dr. Stupainsky and I’ve worn glasses/contacts for over 12 years!
