They Abandoned Me I called and made a appointment. It was 3+ months out, but I had heard good things about them so I was willing to wait. I had my records forwarded to them from my previous doctor. I get a call from them today 7/2/26 that they needed to reschedule my appointment and they couldn't get me in again UNTIL OCTOBER. This not acceptable, I understand things happen but....

I had a mixed experience with this practice. On the positive side, the doctor identified a retinal tear during my visit, which led to emergency surgery and likely saved my vision. I’m very grateful for that level of care. However, everything after that has been extremely frustrating. When I called to schedule follow-up care after surgery, I was told there are no appointments available until August—several months away. For a patient recovering from a retinal detachment, that is simply not acceptable. Communication has also been a major issue. I experienced multiple dropped calls when trying to reach the office, and after finally leaving a message, it took a full day to receive a callback. Additionally, my interaction with the receptionist was disappointing. When I calmly explained that I was frustrated with the delay, I was met with “I don’t know why you’re mad at me” and “there’s nothing I can do about it.” I was not upset with her personally—just trying to advocate for necessary follow-up care. The response felt dismissive and unprofessional. The medical care I received was important and appreciated, but the lack of access, poor communication, and handling of patient concerns need serious improvement.
Overall great experience with Morrison Eye Associates. This was the first time I saw them for an eye exam. The staff were awesome, friendly and accommodating. Dr. Carpenter made me feel welcomed and comfortable since this was my first exam in 25 years. The only challenge I had was finding the Dillsburg location. Their address is 11 Tristan Drive, but their entrance is actually on Trinity Drive. Was a little confusing, but I called their office after I failed to find it and they guided me to the entrance. I would suggest using Morrison Eye Associates for your eye care.
Not properly staffed The staff that is there are lovely, however my family and I will not be returning to this practice. Twice now we've had appointment cancellations because a doctor is suddenly "unavailable." I've been a patient here for years and it still takes months (not exaggerating) to get an appointment at this place. So you can imagine how you'd feel getting a call a few weeks prior which results in *additional* months delay. Latest incident: scheduled an appt for my son in April, soonest opening was August. Then get a call in July saying Dr. is unavailable - and next appt is October. This is not a way to run a business. Please tell your manager or owner that they've now lost an entire family of business because of this poor scheduling strategy.
I highly recommend Morrison Eye Associates in Dillsburg. Dr Stacie Carpenter is one of the best, most thorough eye doctors I’ve visited. I’ve worn glasses for 56 years, so that is saying something. If you need your eyes examined, call and schedule an appointment today.
