Nemours Childrens Specialty Care

We had an orthopedic specialist appointment with Dr. Loveless for my 3 year old daughter. I felt like my pediatrics office wasn't able to answer my questions/address my concerns fully, not to anyone's fault, I just felt it required eyes and assessment from someone who specializes in that area of medicine and therefore we were given the referral to Dr. Loveless. I was both impressed and appreciative of his ability to switch gears so effortlessly between addressing my husband and I during the fact finding phase and also interact with my daughter on an age appropriate level, all the while doing a visual assessment of her movements. He then conducted more of a structured assessment and upon completion, gave a very thorough and detailed review of the root cause for my initial concerns that brought us there. I'm someone who likes to get in the weeds and it's challenging for me to accept vague medical responses/answers at face value especially when it comes to my kids' health. I felt like Dr. Loveless was very thorough and I left feeling like I could finally put my concerns to rest, with no new indications there could be a problem to address. The office was kid friendly, they had a little coloring station that kept my 3 year old daughter busy while we waited, but it really wasn't a long wait to be seen. The check-in process was very friendly & efficient. The environment overall was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Very easy to locate, friendly staff and an amazing Doctor. Yes, to schedule and appointment will take time and once you get it, will be months or weeks away but they are specialist for a reason. They are in HIGH demand for many yet few take that position so please be kind to them. But all said, it was amazing, the time and care they take to explain everything in detail is phenomenal and I appreciate that time they took. I am glad my child has an amazing specialist he will see again.

This practice—the staff and doctors ran like a “well-oiled machine”. Everyone was courteous and helpful and my daughter was seen quickly but not rushed. Def recommend

The providers were very caring in the Orthopedics department. Nemours has had consistent service since I first went to them 25 years ago. If you’re looking for great care use Nemours. It is easy scheduling with them as well.

My husband and I took our daughter for an appointment to see Salik Taufik, MD at Neumours Gastroenterology because she has an ongoing stomach issue that has persisted on and off for several years. We had a very positive initial visit experience with Salik Taufiq, MD back in 2014, and after seeing him again, we returned to see him once more last Friday. Everything was going fine during the appointment, and I was asking a lot of questions, as I am very attuned to our children's health and often worries about them. Out of the blue, the doctor asked me if I was anxious about our daughter's health, to which she responded yes. I think it’s self-explanatory that a mother always tends to worry about her children. It seemed that he was agitated by the question I asked about the possibility of adding additional testing. He stated that he was there not to treat my anxiety but to address our daughter’s health issues, which I found to be very unprofessional and surprising, especially considering our previous positive experiences with him. This is why we chose to wait a month and a half to see him, turning down other physicians in the process. My question about adding tests was entirely reasonable, given our daughter's ongoing symptoms. We are genuinely concerned about her health and don’t expect to be taught a lesson about managing our anxiety. The abrupt shift in tone and the response we received were surprising. We left the office feeling puzzled and disappointed by the interaction.
