The doctor is great. He can do very complex scripts. If you have a simple prescription do not go here! This place is 200 more than pearl vision even with insurance. So contacts yes, glasses go elsewhere. Very expensive! My contacts at pearl would have been about 100 over insurance. Here I paid 240 plus 140. Yikes! If I didnt love the doctor I totally would avoid! Complex scripts are hard to make so...

Mark is the man. The optometrist they have there is top notch, as well. He’s very passionate about his job and joyful to share information about his profession and information regarding your eye health. Pretty disappointed to see negative reviews about this place. I was very picky about my new set of glasses and sunglasses. I brought in a pair of already bought sunglasses that required special lenses because of my prescription and the wrap on the frames. Mark requested samples from his suppliers so I could determine proper lens colors, etc. I offered to pay for costs incurred during this process but mark refused. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the finished product. I’ll be back here in the future without a doubt.

I was visiting this area from out of state, when I broke my prescription sunglasses in half. Mark and Tatiana were super helpful in getting me a replacement pair of glasses made that very same day!! Great customer service and an excellent finished product! He even gave me a nice discount. My sunny weekend was saved because of them!!

They told me they could make glasses on site. I travel from Marengo to Mchenry to do that because i'm blind and its an emergency. I travel an hour there to be informed that they'll have to order them and i need to wait a week. I wait a week with duct taped glasses for my frames to come in and they arent magnetized right and they put my astigmatism on the wrong lens. Now i have to make another appointment and travel back there so they can find their screw up and mail them back again to be fixed. The glasses i paid 600+ dollars for dont work and now i need to make an appointment to get them remade because they didnt do it right the first time. They lied to me to get me there charged me over 500 dollars and didnt even give me functional glasses after makign me wait a long time. Dont waste your money or your time.
