I consistently receive outstanding service at Newsome Eye. The staff is fantastic—caring, courteous, and professional, truly embodying what excellent support should be. Dr. Ochs thoroughly explained what to expect after my cataract surgery and how my vision would improve during recovery. The follow-up appointment was equally informative, with a detailed breakdown of each step in the post-recovery process. I’ve never encountered a better eye care team than Newsome Eye.

I only needed a simple eyeglass prescription, but this clinic turned it into a disorganized, costly nightmare. It’s interesting because my family have been here before and it wasn’t like that. Overcharging: They forced me to repeat glaucoma screenings three times and made me pay for duplicate tests that were done less than a month ago. Terrible coordination: I booked an appointment with my original doctor to finish my prescription. When I arrived, they gave me a different doctor, made me wait two hours, and then told me the lens specialist wasn't even there. Zero continuity: I saw a different doctor every single visit. Rushed service: After waiting over an hour today, the main doctor rushed through my results so fast that they didn't explain anything more than checking what the previous one already explained. They just told me to go downstairs and pick up my lenses. This place is highly unprofessional, completely uncoordinated, and just wants to charge you for redundant tests. Go somewhere else.
First impression: Highly unprofessional and inconsiderate of patient’s time. Received a text to confirm my appointment for tomorrow afternoon. I called to confirm and they advised me my confirmed appointment for a regular eye exam no longer works and offered a time during another work day 7 days away. I had to use PTO for this appointment which will now be wasted while I sit at home to research a better eye clinic. 0/5 would not recommend.
Recently had cataract surgery and opted for the Light Adjustable Lenses. I was very nervous, but Dr. Szabo, Dr Ochs, Trish, and Juan were great through the entire process. It's amazing how well I can see now and love waking up without having to put on a pair of glasses! Didn't love wearing the "goggles" for 8 weeks though will say it was worth it.
Most amazing experience ever. Amazing staff and doctors. I have been wearing prescription glasses for 57 years. I had cataract surgery from this amazing team. Now I have 20/20 vision!
