I don’t think I’ve ever gotten any diagnosis or help from this office despite being my primary care. They always send you to urgent care or refer you out (get rid of you, because there are no appointments available for referrals out). But here’s the fun part — I’m not leaving, I like to stick around and make people do their jobs. Until next time!

Everything about this practice SHOULD be great. Beautiful new facility, Northwestern name. Unfortunately, the experience here is everything but. Doctors are rushed and seem generally unhappy. Every single issue that you bring up is referred out to a specialist. Appointment wait times are insane. And your very first appointment your doctor’s nurse will go through their “boundaries” with you about never showing up late, etc. I was literally 2 minutes late one time rushing due to traffic and got an angry phone call asking where I was as I was walking in the door. It’s clear that there are a lot of bureaucratic constraints going on here that limit, time, availability and ultimately quality of care.
Doctors have horrible bedside manner. They don’t even make eye contact with you. They are also so busy following Northwesterns approved questions that they give questionable care. I asked about getting colon cancer screening, they have no idea. Have to go to a GI I asked about my asthma, no idea go to an allergist I asked about acne, no idea go to a dermatologist Why have a PCP if they know nothing? Also, who goes to a doctor to have them ONLY fill out the predetermined questions. I answered my medical history and then brought up my family history. I was told that “we aren’t ready to talk about the family history yet.” Literally two questions later is the family history question. You both went to med school and can’t take questions out of order???? Because of these doctors inability to know medicine and apply it to people using critical thinking, I had TWO doctors in this office alone miss a diagnosis. Absolutely I recommend everyone get a second opinion coming out of this practice. Several doctors have commented on this practices lack of quality care. I left northwestern because of this practice. Do better northwestern.
Primary care here is horrendous! My original Dr was fantastic but left the practice. The two other women they brought in are both horrible.. zero bedside manner, show of urgency, or concern. Worst transfer of service ever. I sent a message on MyChart requesting a prescription FIVE days ago. Still haven’t gotten a reply and no prescription. I have called three times in two days, waited in hold for 20 minutes each time and no one answered. Shameful!
Just went in to find out if I have bronchitis or pneumonia because I can't breathe and haven't slept in 4 days. Called yesterday because I knew the hours would be shorter and I was told they would not be taking names after 3.30 pm. I arrived at 2.45 and the receptionist sent me away even though I told her what they said yesterday. I realize it's Thanksgiving and nobody wants to be there but neither did I. Took a $20 cab because the Purple line was delayed 45 minutes so now I am on the way the the ER at Northshore
