Dr. Chawla & Dr. Kim are the ABSOLUTE best eye specialists I've EVER dealt with, for my vision concerns, and treatments. They have explained, then answered, every question, and concern I have had to my 100% satisfaction! And, the most important aspect of my treatment? EVERYTHING has progressed exactly as they said it would! They are definitely EXPERTS in their fields, dealing with eye health! My highest recommendation for both! Regards, Larry A. Upon entering there was no clear signage as to where to sign in oe let anyone know I was there for an appt. There were other patients that were also confused as to where to sign in. The wait was long to be seen. The staff was very friendly and the Dr. Was informative. The clinic was very orderly and clean.

My appointment went well. They were cl Professional. Efficient . And verry informative. I got everything I needed & was well pleased with the experience. The people were also Kind & Polight ; that goes a long way .Many people can do the work but they were above most.

Yeah I went in for visual field testing for forms I need filled out and Dr. Richard Kim interrupted me when i spoke and said he wouldnt be filling out any forms for me because he didnt believe i was visually impaired. I have 15+ years of documented progressive vision loss. He also, without any prompting or me asking, said (about my vision loss), "I'll tell you right now theres no cure." I replied "mhm, that's right" and he said "with what you have going on theres no cure". Im aware there is no cure, i was there for the visual field exams so i can get my forms filled out and keep a record. And he simultaneously accused me of faking my visual impairment while also letting me know my visual impairment was incurable and only going to get worse. Something again, i already know. The reason he thought I was faking my visual Impairment was because he hadn't read the notes in my chart. Once he finally saw that I have retinal atrophy he said he noticed I had some "Issues with my retinas in the past" which no, its not in the past that is my visual field defect. Current impairment. Idk if the folks in his office are also mistreated this way but i feel sorry for them if so! If thats not the case then maybe his team can work together to get him the mental support he needs to have better coping skills than lashing out at patients. If he is lonely maybe a good therapist can help guide him in building connections and finding community. Richard if you are reading this, take a breath and practice some empathy. We need better providers. The medical assistant was also rude and when i mentioned the visual field test i needed she looked at me and said "why do you think you need a visual field test? You have glaucoma?" And when i replied with the reason she said "if the doctor thinks you need a visual field test, he'll do one" I let her know that the few times that I spoke to the office over the phone, I let them know about the forms I needed filled out and the reason for the appointment. . what a mess, this was a horrible time. The nicest person there though was the woman who checked me in and had me give her my id and all that. Thank you for the humanity!
