Optometric Associates Of Southern Maine

I had my appointment April 30. Still waiting for contacts on July 22. No one communicated with me that they were delayed or short staffed. I called June 17 and no one responded. Called again June 29 and they said they were short staffed but would get me in to learn how to use them in the next couple of weeks. Called again July 22. They now claim someone called June 3 when I asked why there’s been no communication and I told them my phone records show no one called on that date. They said without the appointment scheduled they could not give me a contact prescription to go elsewhere but also could not give me a timeline for getting this appointment. The lack of communication and the delays are unreasonable. I am at a loss for words. The lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and disregard for patient needs is astounding.

Been having dry eye issues for 5 months. My regular eye dr didn't seem to take to much care so I went here to get new opinion and care. Dr. Janelle Levesque was simply amazing. She took the time to explain the problem and the care routine I should follow, gave me samples of eye drops, and acted like she genuinely cared. Also, the front of house was simply awesome - so friendly and personable. I would highly recommend!

Dr. Howard did an excellent job explaining the examination and his findings. His assistant was also fantastic. Will be back for future eye exams.

The staff from the front desk to the doctors are kind and attentive. Dr. Lehouillier and his techs are always thorough in their examinations and I learn something new about eyes at each visit. Notably, they are patient and work very well with children. They do a wonderful job answering my kids many, many questions.

I love Dr Lavesque and can highly recommend her. Kind, thorough, attentive, knowledgeable. She walks me through everything we are looking for (I go yearly for preventative appointment to ensure no T1D complications). Also grateful for the option to use the technology that replaces the need to dilate my eyes. I have to admit though, I would NEVER get new glasses here. My mom won't even come back for eye exams after dealing with the staff in that area and I wouldn't either if I didn't like Dr. Lavesque as much as I do.
