I return to this store because of the Optometrist, who is friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionist is nice and welcoming. I did wait a while to get the help for picking out my frames. Tanya gives me good advice on frames fit my face shape. Lastly, Miguel was so patient with me adjusting my eyeglasses.

Best service ever. My cousin and I were able to get were able to get designer sun glasses. Alexandria and her team were attentive and recommended the best sunglasses to us. My cousin got Miu Miu and I got Pradas. Love them. Thank you GVS. Until next time 😊
This review is specifically for anyone who sees this on the NYC DMV Vision Registry as an acceptable place to get an eye test. They will eventually give you an eye test, but they refuse to do a simple test like you would get at the DMV or an online DMV testing site--they insist that as a clinic they MUST give you a full eye exam that they will then bill your insurance for. They refused to test me without checking my peripheral vision, cornea, and so on. Definitely avoid if you want a DMV test; I am anticipating having problems with my insurance now because they only cover one vision test a year and this place did a bunch of unnecessary testing above and beyond what I requested.
GVS, 66 Court St, Brooklyn, were good when preparing my eyewear, but customers service is unprofessional. They tend to over talk you and not take the time to listen. As a customer you know what you want, but they tell you what you need, or try to convince you what you need, sale pitch for items that you don't want, like progressive, uv, etc. You ask for an itemized bill, they send, you a copy in your email, of the payment slip without any itemized before and after payment. This rating is given for unprofessionalism.
Wait time was HORRENDOUS (spent OVER 3 hours in there.) Place seems SKETCHY. Kept asking for my medical insurance info despite me sharing my vision coverage info. Young man who did initial eye images should not be working with kids. Appeared to be getting annoyed that my child was blinking. The actual eye doctor herself was pretty good, (she’s the only one that deserves stars here.) Frames way too overpriced. The women who work at the glasses part mostly appear to be uninterested in doing their jobs. There were a few that seemed to be OK but several declined to assist me despite colleagues asking them to do so. One took a personal call mid way through her helping me and tried to continue both conversations. Assumed I was waiting for a money transfer to complete payment which I found to be rude. I did double back to inquire about frame pricing due to an observed discrepancy and was met with a report that the person who assisted me has been working there for 20 years so they “know what they need to know.” Overall, wouldn’t really recommend. I’m sure there are better places out there.
