It’s an easy convenience for quick service however the lack of an optometrist in the facility can lead to inaccurate results for your vision. I went through the process and my results came back completely incorrect and so far off that I couldn’t wear my new glasses. However I spoke to the office e and good thing they didn’t charger my insurance for my exam but I had to pay for and exam somewhere else to bring them my correct prescription. I truly hope it comes back correct or I will need to get my full refund for the amount of money I spent. Great people and willing to re-do my order at no charge but having that optometrist on-site can prevent inaccuracies. This is not a negative review but a informative one for the company.

I was a new customer with this company, specific to the Oak Creek, WI location. I called and requested an appointment, they were able to get me scheduled for the same day, I was impressed because it was a Saturday. I arrived at my appointment; the gal working said their system was down and they receive their appointments through telecom so there wasn’t a way for them to cancel my appointment. No biggie, things happen. Then I went to my next scheduled appointment the following week, I waited over 45 minutes for a virtual doctor to log in to perform my exam…. The wait went on so long the gal working said she would just perform the exam for me because of the wait and apologized. I was grateful to have an eye exam to finally be able to order contacts. Then she ordered me a 7 day trial with my new prescription, she said I could pick it up within a few days. I called to see if it was ready and the automated system said I had already picked it up. False. Again, a mistake.. but mistakes happen, that is fine. Why I’m upset is because I looked at the trial contacts and one eye was listed with an astigmatism, one eye was not. My previous prescription I have an astigmatism in both of my eyes…. It’s rare for an astigmatism to just disappear. I went back into the store and asked what was going on with my prescription because the trial contacts did not work for me. The same gal said she could submit it to the doctor to be checked. She admitted she was a doctor technician and not a doctor. Why was she legally able to perform my eye exam if she is not a licensed eye doctor? Weeks later I still can’t order contacts and now have to go to a more reliable eye doctor and REPAY to have my exam performed considering they do not know what they are doing at this location. Very frustrating!
Had a pair of glasses made with another optometrist’s prescription within 45 minutes. Fiona was very helpful and polite. I love my glasses! Will definitely be back for my new prescription and future glasses
Made an appointment online for next day, although I could've just walked in. Eye exam by itself would've been $79. But you can also get 2 pairs of glasses (including lenses) for $79, and the eye exam is free. Amazing deal, highly recommend. This was 100% out of pocket payment btw.
I would never use Stanton Optical again. I scheduled an appointment for my 10-year-old son and drove over 30 minutes to the location, only to be told when we arrived that they could not see him because they did not have an ophthalmologist available at that office. The staff member claimed she had called me and left a voicemail beforehand, but I had no missed calls and no voicemail messages. It was extremely frustrating to waste time driving all the way there with no notification that there was an issue with the appointment. If they truly attempted to contact me, there was clearly a failure in their communication process. Thankfully, we were able to get a same-day appointment at America’s Best down the road, where the process was much more organized and professional. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and the inconvenience this caused.
