Hi! I am going out of my way to write this review since the other reviews are completely unrepresentative. The price is incredibly reasonable and I recommend them to everyone I know, especially if you just need a basic checkup. Dr. Cook was very knowledgeable and was happy to explain things and I felt thoroughly taken care of. I have been a part of a very nice family practice until I lost vision insurance and was forced to find alternatives. I am very happy and pleased with Walmart's service and you cannot beat the cost! do not listen to the others, they are great! just call ahead

Dr is amazing. Staff incompetent. When they schedule your yearly exam be sure you know when it’s exactly a year. Had to pay full ex price because 5 days to early with my insurance. Grrr
The Dr is creepy, but it is manageable for 1 hour every year. The real problem is he prescribes one lens then after checking out and leaving calls and says he's switching to a new brand that is the exact same and same cost because the current brand is no longer sold in their stores - fine. Get the new brand and go to use them and they aren't even remotely close to the old brand. The new brand is more like a hard lens than soft lenses. They don't bend, they aren't breathable, and after looking into them aren't even the same size as the old brand (and cost much less but he pocketed the difference). Try ordering online and the idiot receptionist can't read the difference in prescription for each eye and even after explaining to her she still couldn't comprehend what she was told.
I've always been happy with Walmart Optical in Delafield, and the Dr is very thorough. My childten and I have gone there for some years. The Dr. has provided me the best prescription I've ever had. Why the negative reviews?
Dr DeMares is friendly and helpful, and so is the staff; I have felt very comfortable getting my checkups and eyeglasses at this location for almost three years.
