This is not the fanciest place to get your eye exam, glasses, contacts, etc. It’s located inside of Fred Meyer after all. But, the associates were kind and helpful and Dr. Paul got my eye exam and contacts fitting done quickly. Their space is small but they are efficient with the space they do have. Trying on contact lenses above their tiny sink using their paper towel dispenser as a mirror was an experience. The doctor touching my face and eyes without washing his hands while I was having trouble inserting contacts was also an experience. May God bless the Vista Optical in the Fred Meyer of Fairbanks.

The staff are all very helpful and courteous. The doctor is knowledgeable and professional. I changed my phone number after my appointment and forgot to update them, so they mailed a trial package of contact lenses to my address with a note saying they had been unable to contact me. I call that very good customer service.
This place cannot do ANYTHING without an optometry doctor in store. Trying to get contact lens here with my prescription in hand, but they refused to give me that because they need a doctor on site to “double check the prescription”. The doctor will return in one MONTH. The staff were also unfriendly.
The past few pair of glasses have been form them. I haven’t had any issue with pick or ordering my glasses but the staff can be unfriendly. I took my son there for his first eye appointment and they gave me the wrong time to be there for his appointment. My son was 3 years old (his doctor just wanted to get his eyes check) long story short if you do use them don’t take your little ones their. They aren’t very kid friendly.
I love the staff here. They are friendly, fast, and efficient. We only had one appointment scheduled for my husband but They fit me in immediately after, and helped keep my bored 4 year old intertained so I could focus on my checkup and picking frames.
