Took my Wife to Outllook Eye Care in Princeton to Dr. Colleen Coleman. Terrific. Highly recommend, from her reception area, her Nurses, all her staff, and of course, Dr. Coleman. No room for improvement here. So happy that she is now my Wife’s optomologist. Dominick DiFalco

Wanted to give a zero star but it wouldn't let me. Just got out of the office and I am so upset. I made this appointment with Dr. Shovlin a year ago when I couldn't make last years appointment. So, after loads of reminders about this appointment both by text and email, I go to check in and I am told that since I didn't come in last year that I would be considered a new patient and he isn't taking any new patients. What new patient! I have been seeing this doctor for over 20 years! The staff there was totally nonplussed, no matter that I drove a half hour out of my way to go there and missed several hours of work, no matter that I have been a loyal client for years, she just didn't care and dismissed me like it was nothing, well, it wasn't nothing, and why didn't someone call or text me to tell me this, instead of sending me emails and texts to check in (which I did), they couldn't tell me then! While I really liked Doctor Shovlin I would think twice about using this practice if they are so unprofessional and don't care about their patients then you could be next. Well, now I think I will give my business (and my whole immediate and extended family's business) to someone else, I am trying to think where else I can leave a scathing review, they deserve many of them!
I had a very disappointing experience at the Princeton location of Outlook Eye Care, specifically with the front desk staff. I was charged separately for a contact lens exam even though my insurance confirmed the service was covered. The front desk insisted it was not covered and required payment. After confirming again with my insurance that it should have been covered, I tried calling the office to clarify the billing issue. Unfortunately, my calls were disconnected without any explanation. I expected better transparency in billing and more professional communication. Patients deserve clear information and respectful customer service, especially when it comes to insurance matters.
I had a very negative experience with the front desk staff, as other people also explained in their comments. I am not coming back. They wanted to charge me for a contact lens fitting exam, although my insurance covered it. They accepted my insurance on my first visit but said they dont accept that insurance on my second visit (VSP). The front desk insisted it was not covered so I left. Later, I contacted my insurance and confirmed that the service is covered at that clinic. Tried to contact the front desk by phone to discuss the problem and nobody replied the phone.
I had a 10 am appointment. In the morning I received a text message informing me that I have a 10:45 appt. So I went to office at 10:30. I was told that I am late because I apparently had two appointments (one with the doctor and one with the technician, and I am supposed to know that without being told) and the first one was at 10. Then I waited for 45 minutes to be told that they need to reschedule my appointment. Reason: the technician had an emergency; wow. Clearly being punished for getting there “late”. No apologies and strange reasons. How can you trust a doctor’s office with this behavior. Never going back there. From the reviews I realize that I am not the only one. I would not be surprised if they will have the audacity to charge my insurance for no-show. So they wasted all my morning.
