Wonderful and informative care! The doctor explained everything to me patiently and comprehensively, while the staff helped guide me through how to insert and take out my new contact lens prescription, walking me through step-by-step. The office is fluent in English and Spanish. One of the more memorable and positive healthcare experiences I’ve had. I look forward to returning.

The service was great from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The staff was thorough with what the appointment entailed and explained each task. The first Dr took the pictures of the eyeballs and explained the process as she was operating the equipment. Then Dr Mendoza was thorough with his explanation of what was happening with my particular case and was patient with my questions. I appreciate your service Plaza Optical. Thank you!

I have a great experience every time I visit! The front desk ladies are friendly and helpful, and Dr. Mendoza is the most thorough eye doctor I’ve ever had. He walked me through everything in a way a non doctor could fully understand, was patient and helpful, and double checked all the X-rays (or whatever it’s called) of my eyes manually!

I kind of don't want to leave a review. I don't want more people to know about this place, because I had such a great experience! But they deserve the increase of business. I went to get a routine eye exam which I desperately needed in order to check my prescription. Dr. Mendoza and his staff were great. It is a small optical shop and I went in the middle of the day on a Thursday, so only a couple of other patients were there. I was greeted and given paperwork to fill out, and the staff were able to clearly answer all of my questions. After finishing the forms the Optical Technitian did some preliminary tests, explaining everything she was doing as she did it. I immediately saw Dr. Mendoza right after. He explained everything really clearly and in great detail. He also showed me what my retinal scan looked like and explained what was on it--no doctor had ever done that before. Dr Mendoza showed me areas of concern and recommended I follow up with my regular ophthalmologist, fully disclosing that while he could do all of the additional tests, it would be easier for me as a patient to go see my other doctor. I really appreciated that! After the visit, his staff helped me again with picking out a new pair of glasses, explaining what was covered by my insurance. I asked for frames that were fully covered by insurance and they showed me what was available, with no hard sell tactics on their part what so ever. Nothing extra was pushed on me, like blue light filters or transitional lenses or more expensive, out-of-pocket frames. Although the range of options frame-wise was modest, I think anyone would be able to find something they liked within the options. Dr. Mendoza and the staff at Plaza Optical were friendly, fast, very, very thorough and thoughtful. I will definitely return.
