I’m really disappointed with my recent experience at this location because up until now I’ve always had good experiences here. I actually just brought my daughter in a few weeks ago and had no issues, which is why this situation was so frustrating and unexpected. I was there for my annual eye exam and before going back for the second part of my exam, I was looking at frames. A tech asked if I was getting new glasses, and I explained that I was considering it because my current glasses were loose and kept falling down my face. He offered to tighten them for me and handed them off to another employee. While I continued looking at frames, I did not watch the adjustment being done. After she handed them back, I went to the second part of my exam and, while waiting for the doctor to connect virtually, I noticed I couldn’t see clearly and everything looked blurry. I initially thought it was leftover cleaning solution, so I rinsed my glasses under water, but that did not help. The tech who helped with the remote exam was actually extremely helpful and took my glasses back to be looked at during the second part of my exam. That’s when the manager became involved. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left me feeling like I was being treated as though I was making it up. I was told they were unsure how it happened because only heat was used, but my glasses did not have circular scratches on both lenses before they were adjusted and they did afterward. They did offer to replace the lenses using my 2023 prescription, even though my vision has changed since then. I explained that I was out of contacts, and they were able to provide trial contacts, which I appreciate since I am leaving for a trip tomorrow. However, I primarily prefer wearing my glasses, especially when traveling, so this situation has been an inconvenience. I didn’t push the issue further because honestly, I just wanted the quickest resolution and to leave the store after the interaction. The overall energy from the manager felt off and, quite frankly, rude. The outdated prescription replacement also felt odd and added to the feeling that my concern was not really being taken seriously. I had actually picked out frames that I intended to purchase that day, which makes this even more disappointing. The biggest issue for me wasn’t just the scratched lenses, it was how the situation was handled. I understand mistakes can happen, but I expected to feel like a customer whose concern was being heard and taken seriously. Unfortunately, this experience changed how I feel about continuing to spend money at this location, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I was very skeptical about the hybrid virtual/in-person exam, but Donovan walked me through everything and had the greatest personality! He made the entire experience awesome. Likewise, Michael made my shopping experience superb! I was relaxed, understood what my insurance would cover, and walked through every step from entrance to check out. I haven’t had an eye exam in three years, but I will be back at this location next year for sure! A huge THANK YOU to Donovan & Michael. They are the definition of a superstar employee! 100/10, will be back again!
Had a great experience as always. I come every year for my exam and always have the most helpful associates. Great experience with Leonard in Staten Island Mall this visit.
I have been wearing glasses since I’ve been in elementary school. Never had any issues until I decided to check out Davis vision. Within a month and a half, the lenses cracked in 2 places. The arms of the glasses are constantly loose, and now the nose piece fell off. When I purchased the lenses I was asked if I wanted to purchase a protective plan. Being that I have glasses, still, from 8 years ago, I didn’t think it be necessary. I refuse to pay because Davis doesn’t back up their products, and forced to wear lenses with an outdated prescription. Luckily my employer confirmed Costco accepts my insurance because Davis visions products are garbage. My husbands having issues with his frames popping out, constantly. Horrible way to back up your products.
I've Always liked going to Davis Vision because they don't waste my time. They Allow me to 'Freely' Chose. They are Professional and Answers questions. They are very friendly too.
