I do not have insurance and I paid $186 cash in December 2025 for an eye exam, which was done by a tech, the dr only dilated my eyes.when I took my new RX to the eyeglass store they said it was the same RX as my old pair. I had to pay for another eye exam with another dr to get a correct RX. Two weeks later, I got a bill from Premier for an additional $84. I wrote them a letter and enclosed a copy of my correct eyeglass RX that came from another provider. I did not request a refund, I simply refused to pay them anymore. Today, I get a notice that they have turned the $84 over to a collection agency for $112 now. They are crooks. Barbara Annette Dixon 62 yo retired woman

My husband was seen in Sept of 2025 by Dr. Carter. The issue was not with the provider himself, so it's unfortunate for him that I'm having to leave this review. My husband was referred to this clinic by USA due to a vision complication from a severe accident. We are MS residents and were waiting for MS Medicaid approval at the time of the appointment. Before paying the $150 copay, we asked if they could bill MS Medicaid retroactively so we could eventually be reimbursed. We were assured that this would be no problem. Fast forward to us being insured. I called the clinic to provide the insurance information and was told they do not accept MS Medicaid at all so there is no way we can be reimbursed. We were billed an additional $20 that I also had to pay so it would not be sent to collections. I asked if they could at least waive the additional $20 for the inconvenience to us and was told no. We were blatantly lied to by the young lady at the desk and would absolutely have canceled the appointment and been seen somewhere else had we known that they did not accept our insurance. Now we're out $170 in a time of financial hardship with not so much as an apology. Do not trust anything these people say. They obviously just want to make sure they get your money and do not care what happens afterward. I'll add that I had to be transferred five or six times to get this info and each person I spoke with acted like they couldn't be bothered by me, except for one woman who was at least polite. Still no apology though. This clinic should replace or retrain the people they have dealing with patients over the phone. They also need to make sure their staff are not telling people they accept insurance that they in fact do not accept.

I am writing to formally express my concerns about my experience at Premiere Medical Optical on Dauphin St. on 2/12/26. During my visit. I was assisted by an employee name Samantha Pablo. Unfortunately I felt that she treated me in s prejudiced and unprofessional manner. In addition, she did not appear knowledgeable about her job duties, and I ultimately had to ask for another staff member to step in and assist me properly. The situation made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I brought my concerns to her supervisor, Melissa Welcome, but I did not feel that my complaint was taken seriously. It seemed as though the situation was dismissed without proper consideration.i have been a customer at this office for some time and I have not had issues in the past. However this experience has left me disappointed and reconsidering whether I will return.

My eye is in so much pain right now I have something in it and am trying to be seen by someone and because of a technicality over the phone call I am continuously being told I can’t be seen without workman’s comp even if I was working at my house. 10/10 don’t recomend if you actually need to “see” someone.

Dr. Mark Douglas and Vikki were so amazing! We are so thankful to them and how they carried themselves. Dr. Douglas was very compassionate and relatable, he left my husband with such hope and confidence and before even leaving the parking lot, I had to stop and give him praise, after God of course! My husband was in a life changing accident in April and he was hit by a car at a high speed of rate, while riding his motorcycle. He was in the hospital for 2 months followed by rehab, this has been a journey but God has been so great and covered my husband and our family through this entire process. We understand His glory is showing through us and we are thankful to be used as vessels. Thank you Dr. Douglas! I pray everything you pour into others gets poured back into you!
