The Doctor was very knowledgeable and nice. The manager who helped me with my contacts and picking and paying for mine and my sons frames. Was knowledgeable and nice. She helped get my sons glasses covered by the correct insurance I wanted to cover them. The receptionist who had her hair in braids was not so nice and was not customer friendly when questioned about insurances, and why information I had provided on the phone two weeks earlier was not aligned with how I wanted to conduct mine and my sons business with them. Then when I called to ask for a doctor's note to be emailed to me flat out said no and when I called back conviently asked the manager if she was allowed to do it. Everyone who I delt with except for the original person who checked me in was super friendly and professional. I recommend a coaching moment on customer service or removal of customer facing deals for the receptionist. Otherwise the visit to the Los Alto's branch was a great and would have been 5 stars except how mad I got with dealing with the receptionist.

Wow! I wish I would have read the reviews before I went to Prichett Eye Care. The doctor was good. The office staff, primarily the Office Mamager, are horrible and need to be ovhauled. I had a similar bad experience as some of these posts. I have dual insurance. Got my exam, discussed costs determining I would not have out of pocket expenses. Called 2 weeks later to be told that I didn't have insurance and thay sent my glasses back. I then waited another week. Received a text saying the glasses were in. I even called to confirm and they were in. Sent my boyfriend to pick them up and they said they were not in. These guys are HORIBLE ! Oh and tried to get some kind of fee not discussed when I ordered my glasses. I won't be going back. I just hopevthe doctor is reading some of these posts.
I have been coming to Pritchett Eye Care since 2013, except for 2023–2024 when my family temporarily moved to Missouri. Throughout all the years we’ve gone there, the staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and courteous. I have never had an issue with anyone in the office. Dr. Tim McDonald is amazing and truly one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. My concern is with some of the recent changes the office has made. Patients are now being required to pay $45 for the retinal eye exam, whereas in the past it was always optional. While $45 may not seem like much for one person, it adds up very quickly for larger families. For a family of six, that extra cost becomes a significant financial burden. Because of these added costs, I didn’t even have enough funds left to pay for my children’s glasses or my own. That total didn’t even include the actual glasses yet. Altogether, our visit would have cost around $770. In previous years, patients were allowed to put half down to order glasses and pay the remaining balance at pickup. Removing that option has made things much harder for families who are already struggling financially, especially in today’s economy. I understand businesses have expenses, but healthcare and vision care should still remain accessible for families. Please consider bringing back more flexible payment options for glasses and reconsider making the retinal exam mandatory. A $770 bill all at once is simply unrealistic for many people. That amount can equal a car payment and insurance for some families. Also, every time I’ve visited recently, the office has been uncomfortably hot. Please consider adjusting the temperature to make visits more comfortable for patients. I truly appreciate the doctors and staff at Pritchett Eye Care, and I hope this feedback is taken as constructive criticism from a long-time patient who genuinely wants to continue supporting the office.
The doctor was very polite and professional and the young lady that helped me fit my glasses was wonderful. Great personality
Very easy to get scheduled, staff was very welcoming and friendly. Doctor explained everything he was doing and what our next steps for my eye care would be.
