Quinn Eye Center

I scheduled a appointment at 8 am and when I got there they said I didnt have an appointment, the person I spoke to on the phone never made my appointment. General incompetence from my experience here, there is a clear lack of communication between people as someone will say one thing just for another to say the opposite. One of the assistants or whatever they are said they were going to take my eye pressure then almost walked out of the room without doing it, I had to remind them. They refused to do an eye test without dilating my eyes which cost more money even though ive never had to do that before. The dilation actively made the test worse as its impossible to control your vision when theyre dialted!

I have been a Patient at Quinn Eye Center for several years. There office is clean and all my experiences have been Great and met or exceeded my expectations. Dr Lauren Chermac is an amazing Doctor friendly and caring, I have also seen Dr Quinn and he has worked to build a Great Professional well staffed Environment I highly recommend.

5/27/2026 My family of 5 have been patients of Quinn Eye Center for over 20 years. Because of this fact, it pains me to leave a one star review. If you take your vision serious, do not schedule an appointment to be seen at this practice. I scheduled an appointment to be seen today explaining I felt I had a change in my prescription. After three in depth imaging tests were conducted, I was told everything looked normal and I could proceed to check out at the front desk to pay my bill. I asked if my prescription had changed and I was told that they were not checking me for a change in my vision and strictly seeing me for my “eye health”. I scheduled the appointment specifically to have my prescription checked. I even wore my glasses in and even took a good 45 minute selecting a new frame in their lobby. I was told that I would have to come back for another appointment to have my prescription checked. I begged and pleaded with their Office Manager, Michelle, explaining that it was difficult for me to get off work. She was unsympathetic to the mistake made on their end and they refused to see me. This office has recently been acquired by a management company named AEG Vision and their patient driven care has disappeared. I was made to feel as if I was just a payor source. As a result, I am forced to take my eye care needs elsewhere and my family of five will no longer be patients at this practice. This is very disappointing and I want to make others aware of this unorganized and unsympathetic (borderline unethical) practice. I encourage others to take their business to a practice that cares about their patients.

This is one of the only places in Gainesville that said that they can work with my kids under 12 years old. Sarah was patient and kind the entire time. Dr. Desai was very informative and made us feel confident that we were taking all of the necessary precautions. Rhonda was very sweet and didn't try to upsell us anything that we didn't need. Jennifer at the desk was really helpful and friendly. Everyone there was great and the prices were fair. My daughter was very excited to get glasses and this expirence only solidified her joy and excitement. We can't wait to get them in! Thank You Quinn Eye Care

This is a well run, practice filled with employees that are competent and enjoy their work. They make you feel welcome and well cared for. You’re not just the next patient. You are an individual with individual needs and you are heard and treated with compassion. I highly recommend this practice.
