I absolutely love my eye doctor and the entire team here! Everyone is so kind, patient, and genuinely accommodating to my needs. I often see elderly patients during my visits, and it warms my heart to watch how patient and gentle the staff is with each of them. They recently added a new machine that captures detailed photos of your eyes, allowing the doctor to see beyond what a standard exam can detect. It’s incredibly helpful for catching potential underlying issues early, and it really gives me peace of mind about my eye health. The clinic is also exceptionally clean. I always notice how meticulously they wipe down equipment after every patient. The staff consistently wears masks and washes their hands, which makes me feel very safe and cared for. Another huge plus: they are bilingual! If you have parents or family members who need translation or feel more comfortable in another language, this is a wonderful place to bring them. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a caring, professional, and attentive team to help keep your eyes healthy!

I had an eye exam here and was given a prescription for glasses. When I bought my glasses somewhere else and asked for a re‑check because they didn’t feel right, the doctor told me to go back to the store instead of seeing me. That is not good medical practice. A doctor should care for patients no matter where they buy their glasses, and refusing to check my vision again felt dismissive and unprofessional. Patients deserve proper follow‑up care, not being turned away.

Very nice office & eyewear shop once you walk inside the doors. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly & helpful. The Dr. is also very personable & it feels like you are in good hands when you are with him. This is a hidden gem in the King Plaza.

Very rude interaction with the front desk staff when calling and trying to figure out insurance. They threatened to cancel my appointment as I wasn't able to find member ID. When I simply asked for more time to find the information and was trying to say I might need another day as I work full time and need to call my insurance company, the staff member talked over me and then simply hung up. I'm very glad my appointment is cancelled and I went back to scheduling with someone else.

Today I had a very disappointing experience at Rainier Valley Optometric. My daughter had an appointment scheduled for today. Yesterday, a staff member even called me to confirm the appointment. Because of this appointment, I took time off from work and my daughter missed school. However, when I arrived and checked in at the front desk, the receptionist told me that I did not have an appointment. When I tried to explain that their office had called me to confirm it, another staff member came from the back and spoke to me in a very unprofessional way. She told me, “Why don’t you come another day? Go out before I call the police.” I was very confused and shocked by how I was treated. I only came for my daughter’s appointment and to understand what happened. This experience was very upsetting, and I will not return to this place again.
