I had both eyes done with Dr. Lai and the experience was great. I have neck issues where I can’t lie flat so the surgery was difficult to begin with. Even my optometrist was impressed. I recommend Dr Lai to all my friends.

I visited this eye center for my eye surgery and follow—up care. Initially staff were polite at intake, but once payments were processed surgery is done the attitude and quality of care declined. When I returned to the eye center for a follow‑up visit, I encountered a poor, dismissive attitude from their workers—which added to my distress and concern for their patient care. This pattern puts patients at risk, undermines recovery, and is emotionally distressing. I urge management to take this warning seriously: review scheduling and supervision, provide staff retraining or replacements where needed, and ensure respectful, consistent care for every patient—not just friendliness at intake. I will update this review if the issues are addressed; if not, I will escalate my complaint to the appropriate regulators.

My mom had an inquiry for her cataract surgery but the staff was extremely impatient and told us to look online for any questions we had because they didn't have any time. The staff lacked basic professionalism and common courtesy. The tone of the staff was quite arrogant and they basically said if we had any questions we should look for another doctor. Dr. Lai says on his website that patients deserve the same quality of care he'd provide for his own family but we were treated like a number.

Stay away from this place, the staff is really unprofessional and rude. No help at all. Dr.Phung only see me 5 minutes for over $150 of service and want me to come back to the office to follow up. She doesn’t explain anything and in hurry to leave your room and get out of there. How can you be a doctor if you are such in a hurry. When you try to get ur records they don’t email or fax to you which is ridiculous. I told I will sign anything they said no need and to come in person. This place is a joke!!

Dr. Phung is amazing! She did eye surgery for my dad and everything went perfectly. She’s always so kind and takes the time to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand. My dad and I really appreciated her patience and care throughout the whole process. We’re super happy with the results and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great eye doctor!
