Round Rock Eyes

I recently moved back to the Austin area in December 2025. Round Rock Eyes is within walking destination from my apartment. Not even a 5 minute walk. I was able to get an appointment easily in December and Dr. Brett Hamilton is an excellent optometrist as he takes time and wants to make sure that he has provided his expertise and care for my vision/optical needs as I received a comprehensive exam for new prescription for both glasses and contacts. I highly recommend Dr. Hamilton and his staff from the moment you walk in the door the warm greeting from ladies at the front desk, my optician, April is amazing, to Jessica everyone makes my experience with ease and exemplary professionalism. The turnaround time for me receiving my new contacts and glasses was quick, and I did not have to wait long to receive both.

Dr. Hamilton has been my Eye Doctor for many years. I have a very high prescription and with his expertise, he has me seeing better than I ever have before. He and his office staff are kind and easy to talk to. I am grateful for all their care:)

I have been going here since I was young and have loved all the doctors and staff. They are nice, patient and take the time to explain all the imaging and other such things they do. All around great place 👍

I didn’t see the doctor since I already had a valid prescription, but I did purchase glasses here and wanted to share my experience with the optical side of the office. The biggest issue was confusion around insurance. The sales associate told me multiple times that they did not accept my vision insurance, even though I had already confirmed on my insurance website that they were in-network. It turns out my insurance is bundled under a different name, and they actually do accept it. This made the process more stressful and confusing than it needed to be. The frame selection is somewhat limited compared to larger optical retailers, but I’m not very picky, so I was still able to find something that worked for me. Unfortunately, the customer service experience left a lot to be desired. The sales associate made me feel like I was bothering her during the entire visit. I felt rushed while choosing frames, and she didn’t offer much guidance or assistance. She also repeatedly pointed out green frames after I had clearly said I wasn’t interested in green. Overall, the interaction felt uncomfortable, especially since the office was completely empty at the time. I ultimately got glasses that I like, but the experience itself felt rushed and unwelcoming. I hope they can improve communication around insurance and provide a more supportive customer experience in the future.
