Sam’s Club Optical

It took longer for me to get my glasses from brown transitions to blue. But I believe the optniteist and staff. We're making sure they had my stigmatisms' different in both eyes right tried extra long. True Walmart got my perception with no hassle right from the start. Roswell nm. But the doctor had moved.

This guy is a joke. He messed up my husband's glasses. We returned them for a refund BUT he doesn't refund the $150. CASH ONLY POLICY. The script was way off and he is just out the cash we payed this guy. He talked politics the whole time he was with my husband as he got three patients behind. Not going back. I'm back after getting another eye exam from another store. This guy was wrong by more than 50 on the three locations on the prescription...The other store said there was no way my husband coyld have seen out of that prescription..do you think we will get the $150. back from this man? He tries to tell us he was a lawyer so I guess we will see how it goes. We will let you know. My visit was just as bad: started out telling me I had glaucoma and maculur degeneration and HE'Dsend me to a good doctor....chuckle..... turns out none was true but it was my floaters which I already knew about. Maybe his method of requiring cash should be looked into????? Oh and we drove over and hour FOUR times because they were always closed even though the website starts they ARE open . When we questioned this on our fourth vist we say a women in frame area but not the eye guy...she stated "oh he didn't come in today . He had no patients." It was Thursday and he was listed as open.

We were there to get glasses for my 14 year old. Veronica was so patient and helpful. She was thorough and tried to get us the best our insurance would pay for.

The exam is out of pocket paper Cash which is fine. The optometrist was perfect. It's the employees there the optical center that are not the greatest. And it's Sam's club corporations and that's not great either. They do not discuss all the information given to you until final purchase when paid and more than likely insurance will not be taken. The direct quote that they gave me "it's above my pay grade" when it comes to trying to figure out and get down to the bottom on why insurance is not take. And then when you try to ask questions no one helps you or thinks that you're attacking them. Needless to say, I would avoid this place buying glasses to get your eyes checked it's not bad.

Service is okay. Took a while to be seen the day of but got in the same week I called, so can't complain too much about that. Be warned, they no longer take insurance and only accept cash (paper no debit or cc!). Pretty sure they are evading taxes. Got no record of my visit or receipt. Cash was put in a box. Shady but I guess in this economy you gotta do what you gotta do.
