Worst optometrist visit I’ve ever had, I’m not the one to leave bad reviews or reviews in general but the whole experience from booking the appointment to getting my eye exam was brutal. The first appointment (booked online) was cancelled and they left a voicemail. I didn’t respond and decided to rebook it a few weeks later, when I called to the office directly Dr. Chung answered, I let her know I was rebooking as a previous appointment was cancelled by them and she started getting defensive. She then said “the comment here is that the voicemail isn’t set up” (voicemail is set up that’s how I know they cancelled my appointment) she then shifted the blame on me stating “I should have my voicemail set up so that I can get get their notices” I feel like she was just looking for an argument here and just brushed it off and said yeah I’ll set it up. That was strike one… when coming in for the appointment the staff was polite but you could feel some sort of tension when she was in the room, the woman that did the pre-exam was friendly but she did push heavily on doing a dilation. I told her about 3 times I did not want it and had to be firm on the third time as she said “since you don’t know when you had your last one we will do it today” I did firmly say that I did not want it and that was the end of that conversation. They lead me to the exam room and Dr. Chung came in, the meet and greet was fine but once we started with the exam it felt rushed. I’ll give her props that she did dial in my prescription in very quickly but the interaction started turning sour when she was flipping through the different lenses on the machine and I asked to double check the previous ones so I could confirm which one looked better, she had an attitude as if I was questioning her abilities and towards the end and she brought up the whole voicemail thing like I was the issue. I’m not going to argue with this lady because she had my prescription and I just wanted to go about my day. (Strikes two and three) Overall bad experience don’t waste your time with this optometrist. There are plenty of other options and I do not believe any of the other 5 star reviews she currently has are legitimate. Dr. Chung if you see this do better, work on the attitude.
