I have been going to this facility for 27 years. WOW has it changed. I understand staff come and go, but the doctors do also and that’s unfortunate. I Had the worst experience I have ever had from walking in the door. BE warned if you can’t tolerate cold and I mean cold don’t go. I was hit with blaring A/C, then the front desk had to go ask someone else what they were supposed to before I went back, now this lady is sone of the original staff members who should know what to do. Next the assistant did my tests and didn’t have any patient/chairside/bedside manners. She didn’t talk at all other than do this ok now do this, now go to room 5 and the doctor will be in shortly. Now the doctor, she is new to the practice but not a new doctor. She seemed scattered all over the exam. There were things that are usually done for contacts and glasses but weren’t. She finally said my glasses prescription didn’t change and said follow me. She took me to get new glasses. Well my appointment was for contacts and when I asked I was told I had never gotten any there. I told her to look in the other system. She found them and said how were you doing with them? At that point I said ok so she went and got a pair and ordered them. At this point I had planned on new glasses, when I walked in because I was told on my last exam my prescription had changed but with Medicare you do glasses or contacts in a year. I just got my old prescription for contacts, which I have to use cheaters with so I know my multifocal has changed for 6 months and find a new place to go.

I have used this location for over 10 years. Since they were bought out by a corporation the service has decreased. I went to get my glasses adjusted an 12:05 and no where on therir website does it say the whole office closes for lunch. The website should reflect true operating hours. I am very disappointed in the overall service of the new company.

I had a pair of glasses and a screw came loose and I lost it but I took it up to Eye Trends and they were able to replace my screw and they cleaned my glasses and everything free of charge. How so very nice!

After calling for 3 days I never received a call back to book an appointment. These delays caused a sensitive situation to become dire. In my opinion, this particular location does not consider client loyalty of over 15 Years and feels no sense of urgency or need to accommodate loyal patients with an urgent need. The staff placed me on hold for long periods of time that ended in leaving voice mails that are never returned. On day 4, I finally spoke with the Sitr manager. Sadly, she was condescending and insensitive to the urgency of the situation and offered no effort to help. I understand the challenges to book appointments, but loyal, longtime clients with a one-time, urgent situation should be treated with more sensitivity, not prolonged holds, endless voicemails, and insensitive “patient handlers” who could care less and never return calls, as promised. This is the first and last time I’ve asked for consideration for a special and urgent situation. The denial is fine, but disappointing. However, the unfulfilled promises to call, and the continued holds and dropped lines and insincere reapomse by management is mocking and rude. Fortunately, another Eye Trends location was happy to accommodate my urgent need. The MANAGER of The Woodlands location smugly and sarcastically wished me a “good day” and closed the call out! What a pretentious and insensitive thing to say to a 75-year old trying to get emergency care. She assured me there are no exceptions made for special needs for a loyal client - not here! Sadly, I don’t think it was “personal” and I believe anyone will likely receive the same insensitive lack of consideration as I did. The test of true client care is helping, understanding, and returning promised calls. Client care is sometimes inconvenient to the staff - especially if urgent and inconvenient to all involved. So much for client loyalty! Elizabeth W. - The Woodlands

I arrived really early for my appointment and was taken back right away. Everyone was kind and helpful. The doctor explained everything very clearly. The process of ordering my glasses was quick and easy. I was in and out in no time.
