The manager (Natalie) did a great job in understanding and meeting my needs with my new pair of glasses. This was the 2nd pair I’ve purchased from this Madison gammon rd location with a very courteous/knowledgeable staff. Thanks!

I managed to mess up my delicate frame just a few months after getting my glasses. Roger at the West Side location took one look and said, “I can fix this for you—no problem.” He was incredibly kind, skilled, and efficient. Excellent service and a great experience overall!
Was highly disappointed. I had my original prescription here, and to be fair, it was from 2024. I explained that I no longer have insurance, but that the $1200 glasses that I paid out of pocket for were "eaten" by my dog. They were frameless, but the screws that attach the lenses to the nose piece were still attached, and other than this specific area, the rest of the glasses were fine. My dog got them out of the case off the dining table, she's still growing and I did not realize she could reach so far into the middle of the table - lesson learned. Instead of making the repair which looked simple enough to me, just put the nut back on the other side or add a tiny amount of appoxy to the screw hole and let it dry while assembled, they instead wanted me to make an appointment to get another exam and repurchase the glasses. They were expensive because they were trifocal transitions with all the bells and whisles on the lenses. The scratch proofing did its job because the teeth of my puppy did very minimal and superficial damage. I made the appointment. But I really don't have the money right now to buy more. I need these for work, driving, and life really. I Googled eyeglass repair in my area and came up with Wisconsin Vision. I took them there. They had them fixed and in almost new condition, for free, even though I didn't get them there. I wish that Shopko Optical could have offered the same service. I ended up canceling the appointment I can't afford, and most likely when I can afford one will go to Wisconsin Vision instead on principle. Shopko is great if you have insurance and have the ability to keep paying, or if you have Medicaid. Not so good if you are uninsured and broke.
Maureen has always been very friendly and professional in all my eye exams. She is honest and really cares about her patients. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!
Great choice! Excellent optometrist and staff. Patient, thorough and gives you all the time needed. Very happy to have this place nearby and that I discovered it 😊
