Shopko Optical

I had an eye exam and bought glasses at the Shopko in Baraboo. The remote eye exam was a little different, but they did a thorough job. Glasses and lenses are reasonably priced and took a couple weeks. Picking up the glasses was the only negative. The person who gave them to me asked how they felt. They were a little loose. She took them and adjusted them in back. Not once did she actually look at how they fit. Opticians should check behind your ears and see if more adjustments are needed. I don't believe she might know how to do that. Overall, it was a good experience. The other people may know what to do, but she needs more training.

I had my first appointment at ShopKo Optical, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From start to finish, the entire team was attentive and made sure I understood what was going on and why. I especially want to highlight 2 team members: Galen and Jess. Galen helped me at the beginning of my appointment. She was incredibly friendly and explained everything clearly! Jess assisted me during checkout, and though it took a little extra time than expected, it was totally worth it. She went above and beyond to ensure I didn’t overpay, and all throughout, she was transparent and explained my bill clearly. The whole process was so smooth and stress free! Additionally, I saw Dr. Thue, and he was so kind, clear, and genuinely listened to my concerns and questions. But what stood out the most was that both Jess and Dr. Thue took the time to ask about me and my story. It made me feel truly welcomed and seen (no pun intended). Overall, I had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for patient-centered eye care!

Jess at the Baraboo location was amazing and so patient. Her and only one other staff were working when we went in for my son’s appointment. Things were slow moving and she pretty much helped everyone solo (maybe the other lady was new?) and she did it with a smile on her face the whole time!

I had a great experience at ShopKo Optical in Baraboo! Dr. Josh, who is a newer and very young doctor, was incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout my visit. I really appreciated his patience and professionalism. Jessica N. was also amazing such a sweet and friendly person! I genuinely enjoyed chatting with her, and she made the whole process smooth by quickly handling my paperwork and insurance so I could get my glasses updated without any hassle. Galen was absolutely phenomenal!! If there was a rating more then 5 stars it would be her. She took so much time to make my daughter feel truly valued and interacted with her. She let us know what was going on every step of the way! She deserves a million stars. Highly highly highly recommend. Thank you so much Galen!
