As always the office staff is very friendly and I didn’t have to wait long at all to see the doctor. I was a little surprised at check out this time. A procedure was performed without being explained to me before hand that might not be covered by my insurance. The receptionist said most insurance companies do not cover it ($49.00). It is when they keep flipping the lenses saying “is this clearer, or is this clearer?” I just wish they would have asked me before hand to see if I agreed to that charge. I like total transparency when it comes to additional charges besides my copay.

I saw Dr. Birdi at the Lakehurst Road office In May 2026. He is a great doctor. The staff are friendly and courteous. The waiting room is extremely crowded, so much so that they have chairs out in the hallway lining the entire hall. Although they kept close to the appointment time, I did feel sort of like cattle. As I was getting some eye tests I was in the same room with two other people and we had to play musical chairs so that we could each vacate our testing seat and sit down for the next one. That was not pleasant. At the end of the appointment when I went to make my yearly appointment I was told that Dr. Birdi is leaving the practice. I will probably find him and continue on with him elsewhere.

My first visit with Sight MD at the pyramid building in Toms River was perfect. Ladies at the front desk were fabulous, ophthalmic tech was fabulous and of course, Doctor Aldrich was fantastic!! So glad my friend recommended me. I highly recommend this office and staff!!

The staff is very friendly and efficient. The wait time to see the doctor isn't long at all. Dr. Birdie is very pleasant and answers any concerns you may have. . I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Birdie or the staff. I would definitely recommend Dr.Birdie and SightMD.

I verified if my insurance was accepted over the phone. They told me yes and had me scheduled. I wait a week and on the day of the appointment they have me call and tell me they don't accept my insurance. Rude and unorganized staff. I don't know who they pay for these reviews but PLEASE be aware when trying to schedule. If you can find another place I definitely would.
