The vibe in the office was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful from checking in to checking out. The gentleman helped me pick out my appropriate frames, discussing which ones work best with my prescription. The doctor was very personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. I look forward to many years at this location. Keep up the good work.
I was very pleased with my first visit to Clarkson Eyecare in Gulf Breeze. The staff was very professional and courteous. With such a convenient location, I look forward to continuing my association with Dr. Gerhard for my eye care.
Update 2: Called again today, 3rd business day since initial call) and the prescription still hasn't been updated from the dr. They keep sending me last year's prescription. Why is it difficult for people to do their damn jobs around here. Update: Asked for the prescription for my daughter's contacts and haven't received. Spoke with them yesterday and said the dr. will update and they'll send over. It's 11 mins before they close and called a few times and they didn't pick up. I shouldn't have to follow up with them to get the prescription and then when calling, they don't pick up. Ridiculous and unprofessional. This is based off of 2 separate appointments 4 years apart so it appears this isn't a one off. My daughter went in and saw Dr. Gerhard. They asked if we wanted to do some kind of imaging test, which was an additional amount, which was marketed to us as a more in depth way of viewing the eyes instead of dilation. We opted for that but after the test, they said she needed to dilate her eyes. Felt mislead. Went to a different location and didn't have any issues but went back this past June and not happy. My daughter's vision changed .by .75, to which they charged us an additional $139 because of something that her vision wasn't a normal situation. Dr. Gerhard never mentioned anything during the exam but we found out when paying. The two employees couldn't give a good reason as to why and I said I wasn't going to pay. We were already paying for the glasses and contact lens exams. Not understanding why the strenght in vison changing is a reason to charge an extra fee and why nothing was told to us until checking out. Dr. Gerhard went to lunch so never got explanation, just a bill in the mail. Don't recommend at all.
I called on Monday and had an appointment by Wednesday. Dr Richardson and the ladies who help him were kind, professional, and prompt. I felt like it was the best exam I have had in a long time. I will definitely be keeping Dr Richardson as my eye Dr.
I received excellent services at my annual checkup at Clarkson Gulf Breeze. Dr. Gerhard, Zoe, Chris, and Jay make these visits pleasant and comfortable.
