Some things are worth the drive, and Dr. Rebecca Sims is definitely one of them. I've been her patient since she practiced in Carrollwood, so when she opened her own office in Hyde Park, I happily followed her. Even now, I gladly drive 30 minutes because the level of care she provides is exceptional. Her practice, located at 420 W. Platt Street in a charming 100-year-old historic home, immediately makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Dr. Sims is incredibly thorough and detail-oriented while also being warm, kind, and easy to talk to. She genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to answer every question. Her staff is just as wonderful. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and always smiling, making each visit a great experience. They also have an excellent selection of frames to choose from. Following an optometrist across town because you trust her that much says everything about the quality of care she provides. I highly recommend Dr. Sims and her entire team!

Dr. Sims and her staff were amazing throughout my visit. I was a bundle of nerves going in, but Dr. Sims immediately made me feel comfortable, heard, and at ease. I visited this optometrist office this morning and had an excellent experience. The entire team was warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They saw me right on time, were incredibly thorough, and made the whole visit feel easy and comfortable. It was my first eye exam in about 10 years, and they walked me through everything with patience and care. Truly a great team. Highly recommend.

This was my first time visiting Dr. Sims and her office. Unlike the big boys, you get a real person reminding you of your appointment and long-time, qualified staff helping you along the way. The whole experience was night and day better than our prior provider. I would highly recommend Dr. Sims and her team.
