Slabtown Eyecare provided the best eye care experience I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was seamless and professional. They use the latest diagnostic technology and thoroughly explained every test and result. Dr. Doung took the time to listen, patiently answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and a pleasure to work with. From scheduling and check-in to selecting glasses and receiving my prescription, the entire process was effortless. I highly recommend Slabtown Eyecare to anyone looking for exceptional care and outstanding customer service.

I have been wearing contacts/ glasses since high school, and I have some long term concerns with eye health. Meaning, I need to run the full gamut of tests for routine visits. Slabtown Eye Care has the machines / tests to help me monitor my eye health. Further, Dr Duong explained the results of my tests thoroughly and offered suggestions on eye wear and potential contact brands. They even gave me some trials to see how they worked! I felt confident that my eye needs were being met, and both Dr Duong and Katie were helpful and knowledgeable! Overall, a very positive first visit with more to come, and also a great location in Northwest PDX!

Dr. Johnny Duong in Slabtown was absolutely wonderful. He was professional, patient, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything during my eye exam without making me feel rushed. The office was clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly from start to finish. I really appreciated how attentive and knowledgeable Dr. Duong was — he made the entire experience comfortable and stress-free. Every step of the process was straightforward and easy, from making an appointment to the exam itself to picking frames and the explanation of insurance coverage. As someone that gets anxiety with optometrist visits, the exam was very comfortable, and you get to avoid all of the most typically uncomfortable parts of the exam like the puff test and getting your eyes dilated. In place of dilating your eyes they have a machine that takes pictures of the back of eye, in addition to taking photos of the oil glands in your lower eyelid - both of which I had never seen before. Dr. Duong did a great job of then thoroughly explaining what I was looking at in the pictures and patiently answering any questions I had, and I felt like the exam was much more comprehensive than ones I’ve previously had elsewhere. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful, and made the preliminary tests and picking out frames a really pleasant experience.

Dr. Duong and his team were kind, personable and professional. Their office is gorgeous and they have the most advanced technology I’ve experienced at an optometrist thus far. The appointment went smoothly and efficiently - I felt very well cared for. Looking forward to coming back to this office for my eye care needs and regular check ups!
