We had such a wonderful experience at our son’s first eye exam! Doctor was absolutely amazing with him. She was patient, kind, and did such a great job making him feel comfortable throughout the entire exam. She worked so well with him and made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and positive. We truly appreciate her care and would highly recommend her to any parent looking for an amazing eye doctor!

Great family friendly place ! Carlos and the entire staff were very friendly. Doctor Marcias was very friendly and very knowledgeable.. definitely recommend if you’re looking for professionalism, quick and reliable service, and an overall good experience.
I had a very disappointing experience at this office, specifically with the owner/manager Hector. Before any exams were started, I repeatedly asked for clarification on what my insurance covered and what my out-of-pocket costs would be. I asked when making the appointment and again while filling out paperwork at the office because I had just recently received my insurance cards in the mail. Despite repeatedly asking, no one provided clear information about coverage, copays, or optional charges before proceeding with multiple exams. When it came time to choose glasses, I was told that blue light and additional lens add-ons were “prescribed” and could not be removed, even though I only wanted basic glasses and my prescription. I later learned many of these upgrades were optional, which felt extremely misleading and pressured. After finding out I had a copay, I explained that my husband had my card because he had gone to pick up our daughter from school and I had been dropped off. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Hector became rude, condescending, and disrespectful. He called me irresponsible and said I was wasting their time. He repeatedly complained that he had to “do extra work” to find my insurance coverage, despite the fact that I was willing to provide any information needed if it had simply been communicated properly from the beginning. He then shared a personal story about how, when his baby was born, a doctor took them to a clinic that their insurance did not cover and they were forced to pay out of pocket. He used this story to lecture us and told us we should “know our insurance plans beforehand and be responsible,” even after I had already explained multiple times that I had asked about coverage in advance and was never given the information I requested. When my husband arrived, Hector continued arguing with us in front of others, blamed us for insurance issues, and spoke to us in a belittling manner. The entire interaction felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and financially manipulative. Patients deserve transparency about insurance coverage, optional charges, and treatment recommendations BEFORE services are performed. I left feeling misled, pressured, and disrespected rather than cared for as a patient.
The staff were great. The doctor was friendly and thorough. The office is clean and well maintained and in an easily accessible location. I took one star off for two small reasons. One is that I had been going to LensCrafters for many years before and was using a specific brand of contacts that they were unable to provide at this location, though they did say they could still order them for me. The other reason is that I got a text message about 30 minutes before the appointment asking me to please bring a contact case with me if I was wearing my contacts. I thought this was a bit odd because I feel like most places usually have extra cases if you need one, and I was already out running errands and hadn’t thought about this so needed to stop home at the last minute to grab it. That information would’ve been nice a little bit more than 30 minutes before my appointment, but it’s also not the end of the world. Overall good experience.
The first issues was with scheduling. I made an appointment in advance. I went on a Saturday and did not get seen until more than an hour past my appointment time. All told I spent over 2 hours in the office for a routine annual exam. The second issue has to do with price transparency. I needed my contact lens prescription renewed. The doctor wanted me to try multi focal lenses. I was hesitant and told her I wanted what was cheapest. She insisted that because of rebates the multifoca would cost the same as my regular contacts. I was shocked when it came time to checkout and I was charged 4 times the amount for the lens fitting as I had been in previous years at Pearle Vision. It was also $120 more than the amount my husband paid at the Geneva Pearle Vision for a multifocal lens fitting. In addition, they took retinal images with out notifying me that it was an additional charge or asking for consent for an add on procedure. That is something that has always been the case at previous optometrist. Exam was thorough and the doctor did spend time talking about my eye health. But I did not end up with a contact lens prescription and the glasses prescription was significantly different from what I have been wearing without issue, so I do not trust its accuracy. However I would not recommend this practice given the above issues.
