I took my glasses in for an adjustment. They made them worse. I got them home and adjusted them myself in a pot of boiling water. I was able to get them better than you could. I couldn't fax them all the way because you left them with a huge S shape on an edge that should have been flat. Only one one side. The side you didn't mess up I was able to fix. So now my glasses are ruined. You need to train your employees to make these adjustments and nor destroy peoples glasses. Afyer many years, I will not be returning to this company.

Dr. Aguirre was so professional and so friendly! Made us feel comfortable and answered all of our questions. We took my 3&4 year old and she was very patient with them. I definitely recommend! We felt welcomed since the first visit, the staff is amazing!!
I had such a great experience here from the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. The doctors have amazing bedside manner and truly take their time with you. Dr. Aguirre is wonderful she speaks Spanish, which made communication so much easier for my family. She is very thorough with her exams and takes the time to explain everything clearly without rushing. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. Dr. Vance is also amazing. She is professional, kind, and very knowledgeable. She was also very patient and thorough with my wife’s exam.
Southwest Eye Care has excellent doctors — they are knowledgeable, kind, and provide great eye exams. Unfortunately, my experience with the lens/optical department has been the complete opposite. The optical department’s customer service and communication are extremely poor. Information given at the time of ordering glasses often changes later, and I’ve been told one thing in person only to be told something completely different afterward. It feels very disorganized, and there seems to be little to no communication between the optical staff, reception, and doctors. As a patient, that makes the process frustrating and confusing. The optical and lense department are dishonest. The frames that are completely covered by insurance are not clearly displayed and are hidden from view, while the more expensive frames are front and center. This makes it difficult to know what options are actually covered and creates pressure to choose higher-priced frames that insurance does not fully cover. As a result, patients often end up paying $100–$300 out of pocket for glasses that were assumed to be covered. Greater transparency and clearer communication about covered options would make a big difference for patients. It’s disappointing because the doctors themselves are wonderful. I would happily continue seeing them, but I truly wish I could take my prescription elsewhere for glasses. I hope the optical department improves its transparency, communication, and customer service, because it does not currently reflect the quality of the medical care provided by the doctors.
I am extremely frustrated with Southwest Eyecare Optical Center. This experience made me feel like they care more about making money than helping customers make informed decisions. My daughter saw Dr. Vance, and my husband was told she has myopia and needs specialized glasses for that condition. He was given a list of treatment options, and an appointment was made with the myopia doctor. At the same time, my daughter needed new glasses because her old pair was no longer helping her vision. What is very upsetting is that the optical department did not tell my husband to wait before purchasing regular glasses, especially since they already knew she needed myopia treatment and that we would be returning to choose the best option. Instead, they sold him regular glasses for $400. Then, when I returned, they pushed myopia glasses costing around $800, making the $400 pair basically a waste. This all happened within one week. If they already knew my daughter needed myopia glasses, why would they let my husband spend $400 on regular glasses without clearly explaining that those glasses would not be appropriate for her condition? That is not transparency, and it is not good customer service. Overall, this felt misleading, expensive, and unfair. I expected honesty, guidance, and transparency, especially when it comes to a child’s vision care. Instead, I left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.
