This place is a SCAM!! I was recommended this place by a friend. She got an eye exam and glasses for $80ish. I paid $225. We both picked up yellow tag glasses that were advertised as $169. The lady told me the deal I was receiving was a $35 eye exam and $80ish off frames. Somehow the total comes out to $300 at first I had her explain how and it made absolutely no sense. After getting my receipt I paid full price for the exam and my frames alone were $400+ even though they were yellow tag and advertised as $169. She also added an add on which we did not talk about and was $50 she did refund that though when I went in. After comparing receipts My friend received her eye exam free, $80 glasses due to the deal no additional add ons and $25 off being a first time customer. I absolutely would NOT recommend this place unless you want scammed. After they were ordered I found the same glasses with my prescription on Zenni optical for $50

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I got an appointment for an eye exam in the Oceanside office. after I arrived, I was greeted by a lady that also took the measurements for my eyes. Everything was good and took the measurements and ordered a frame with lenses that has the measurements prescribed by her. After spending over 400$, + the cost of the exam, when I tried the new glasses I noticed blurry vision and I started getting headaches. I visited the office again Feb 6, after informing them with the issue, they took the glasses and tested the lenses and confirmed that the lenses matches the measurements. I was told to take another appointment to take other measurements for my eyes, and I was promised that the new exam and the new lenses would be covered as it was their mistake. I booked an appointment for Feb 10, they called and canceled it and rescheduled me for Feb 24, after arriving, during the test, the person taking the measurements failed to get the correct measurements, and referred me to the Escondido office to meet with a doctor. Book the appointment with the doctor on march 6 and got different measurements, they also tried to charge me for the new appointment, despite promising it will be free. Went back to the Oceanside office to get the new lenses today march 9, and their narrative changed from replacing my lenses for free to charging me 50% off, to charging me full price because it was bought from a different vendor. Despite it’s their mistake and Iam only asking for the same kind of lenses with the new correct measurements, and despite them promising that they will cover it, they still want me to pay full price!!! Just Don’t go to this place if you don’t want to get scammed!!

Do not fall for this bait and switch. They have no doctors on site, its telehealth from somewhere else. Then when I said I wanted to see someone in person, they said to go to their other location, which was a completely different company with different pricing.

This is the best place you could ever go to! If you’re shopping for glasses or contacts on a budget without sacrificing quality Stanton Optical is the place to go! I will definitely be coming back especially with Anita! She was really helpful and she helped me throughout the whole process and answered all of my questions. She’s amazing!!!

Everyone that worked there was very nice but it’s extremely expensive. The optometrist does your eye exam over zoom. I’m worn glasses for a long time so I know what my prescription should be and when I told them it was wrong they ignored me. It’s a very expensive exam for the doctor to not even be in the room with us. I’m not even sure what I paid for since the prescription was wrong anyway.
