My wife is in stage 6 of dementia. We had gone to several optometrist that specialize in elder care or pediatric eye exams. Frankly, I was aurprised they all passed since their practice is advertising as elder care and pediatric eye exams. She is unable to verbally respond, can no long read, write, or identify shapes. She is terrible at taking directions. Dr. Bloch was an absolute saint. He tried several different approaches to complete her eye exam; using colors, shapes, letters, numbers, puzzles, and traditional approach but was able to get her to watch a child movie; she sat still. Dr. Block was able to get a reading for her prescription through reading the back of her lens; (hope I am saying it right). While there we ordered glasses with her Rx lens. The glasses along with the lens were well priced. By way of my personal experience I would highly recommend Dr. Bloch for his patience, professionalism, results and friendliness of his entire staff.
