Staff is extremely pushy about upgrading to different lens coatings, with each one costing around $90. They recommended three different upgrades because the “doctor” supposedly recommended them. The “doctor” is never actually there, and they told me they “send him your results,” which left me questioning how much of the exam and prescription was actually reviewed by a doctor. The “doctor” then recommends two different sets of pills to supposedly improve your eyesight. They are extremely adamant about certain coatings and will give you numerous reasons to keep them. They also repeatedly discouraged me from removing them, claiming that my eyesight would get worse without them. My first quote was around $450 for two pairs. At that point, it didn’t seem worth backing out because I would still be stuck paying $115 for an exam that was done entirely by a machine. The advertised $79 same-day option is almost impossible to find. The color-coded prices are scattered around the store, and the more affordable frames are few and far between. When I finally found one frame that fit my head and asked about the price for just one pair, I was told that I would have to pay for both the frame and the exam. However, if I purchased a second pair, the exam would be “free.” More on that in a bit. When I asked if they had a clear version of the same frames I picked, the employee took me to the designer section and said, “Look at these, they’re huge,” implying that I needed an unusually large frame size. The constant pressure to add expensive upgrades made me feel like the focus was more on selling additional products than helping me find what I actually needed. My two frames were in the $119 category. After repeatedly declining the three or four additional coatings and lens options she kept pushing, she got the total down to $198. That was still $80 more than the base cost of my frames because I supposedly needed the anti-glare coating or my eyesight would get “way worse.” I paid and then checked my receipt. I was still charged for the rest of the exam and for the two frames and add-ons she wouldn’t let me remove. She then told me I would have to wait two weeks to pick them up. I specifically chose this location, which is 30 minutes from my house, because they advertised same-day glasses. I went in expecting to pay $80 and walk out with two pairs, as advertised. Instead, I paid roughly 2.5 times what I expected and walked out empty-handed, feeling like I had been swindled. I would not recommend getting your glasses here if you are uninsured. If you are insured, I would recommend going to a regular optometrist’s office instead. At least there, you will actually be seen by a doctor. The only positive part of my experience was that the two women at the front were EXTREMELY welcoming and friendly. I will report back in “two weeks” when my glasses supposedly come in. I’m wary because of the other reviews mentioning that the machine-generated prescriptions have been wrong multiple times.

Wonderful service! My daughter is camp counseling and broke her last pair of glasses. We’re able recieve another pair of glasses same day! Everyone was kind, considerate and patient. Other customers were unreasonable and each employee stayed calm and respectful. I’m really impressed and will be returning. Thank you for all your hard work and excellent service!
Very kind and professional staff. Mr. Zach kindly helped repair the temple arm of my daughter’s glasses free of charge. I truly appreciated his help and generosity. Highly recommend.
Just went to Stanton Optical off university and I had the most amazing experience! I’m from Dallas and I had to get my prescription transferred and I didn’t come fully prepared but Jayla Pettigrew took such good care of me and made the process so stress free! OMG she’s also so good at helping customers pick out frames! Felt like I had a personal guide! I DONT KNOW WHO I NEED TO TALK TO BUT SHE NEEDS A RAISE ASAP! If you go don’t get help from anyone but her! She’s amazing!!!
Alisha and Jayla are the best!!!! I had a horrible experience by the lady that is in charge of the whole store, which is surprisingly, coming from the boss, but Alisha and Jayla were so quick to help and fix the problem for me. They didn’t let me leave the store without being 100% satisfied with what I wanted. If you come here, I recommend asking for one of them to help you with whatever service you need! (I love my new YSL glasses) 😍
