I just got 3 brand new pairs of glasses and had excellent service! Bre did an awesome job of getting me exactly what I was looking for and also upgrading me with better lenses. She was able to get all pairs done before store closing as well. Greatly appreciated!

Bri, and Mila are extremely helpful and they made sure I had everything I needed. Bri personally did my eye exam manually so I had the best accuracy. Mila got me set up before the exam and helped me with insurance. The two of them were very upbeat, professional and went above and beyond for me. Highly recommend if you go there you ask for both of them. Thanks ladies!
I recently visited Staton Optical for an eye exam, and my experience was mixed. When I first arrived, I was greeted by an older staff member who came across as somewhat dismissive and asked me to wait in the back. There were a few other customers in the store, and she appeared to be working alone, so I initially assumed she may have been overwhelmed. Still, the tone felt off from the start. Shortly after, Breanna stepped in and completely changed the tone of the visit. She was professional, personable, and clearly explained what to expect during the eye exam and the process for selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses. She handled everything efficiently and made the experience comfortable and easy to follow. The situation shifted again during checkout. While Breanna was working through my insurance and order details, she appeared to have a minor question. Before she could even ask for help, the older staff member abruptly interrupted from across the room with, **"Did you explain this... cause I didn’t hear it."** The tone was sharp enough that it caught both of us off guard. Breanna hesitated, clearly surprised, and the staff member followed up with a sigh and said, **"Sir, I’ll be right with you."** After finishing with another customer (who also looked visibly uncomfortable), she came over and, in a noticeably forced customer service tone, began explaining what felt like an obligatory upsell. When I declined, she responded with a sigh and a short, **"k,"** before standing up. She then proceeded to explain my order details to Breanna in a condescending manner and walked away. What stood out is that this interaction closely matches what I had seen in several recent Google reviews about a rude older employee at this location. Based on those descriptions, it was easy to identify who they were referring to. Overall, Breanna provided excellent care and made the eye exam process clear and comfortable. However, the front-end customer service and overall atmosphere—especially during checkout—left a negative impression. A more respectful and professional approach, particularly in staff communication, would significantly improve the experience.
Awful, awful experience. I do not recommend going here if you want fast, efficient, or friendly service. If you want to waste your time, your money, and be belittled and demeaned, however, it's the place for you. For full transparency, I'm giving a full timeline of events because this was... honestly, the worst experience I have ever had regarding glasses or contacts and I won't be returning, nor will I recommend this place to anyone else. The assistance here was absolutely abhorrent. I went in for my appointment and the first person I interacted with at the check-in desk was lovely. It was all downhill from here. Someone took over within ten minutes, telling her to go home. She was friendly enough. Unfortunately, that woman was also replaced (being sent to lunch, leaving only one employee working) by Dana as soon as I sat down for my actual eye exam. It was a disaster from this point on. Dana was rude, she was snippy, and she was dismissive. When the exam was finished, she rushed me out to have a conference call with the actual optometrist - which never happened. Dana came back, didn't go over my exam results with me at all - excluding CRUCIAL information I should have been given - and, instead, proceeded to cut me off and talk over me countless times as I tried to ask questions. At one point, she interjected with, "If you would STOP TALKING, I would tell you what you're asking!" Spoiler alert, she never actually did. I left with more questions than answers and was belittled and demeaned multiple times for various reasons, with one of the biggest being that I had questions about what my insurance actually covered. I was told these would be same day. However, there was only one pair of my lenses in stock and it was late in the day, so one pair should be next day - and the other in roughly a week. I got a call first thing the next morning where Dana proceeded to LAUGH and tell me she'd made a mistake and neither pair would be ready for at least two weeks. My appointment was April 13th. With all of this rescheduling, the dates were pushed back to April 20th. Then the 28th. And yet again, pushing them back to May 9th. There was zero communication about any of these reschedules and pushbacks. I did not get a phone call about my glasses for pick up until May 7th. When I went in to pick up both pairs on May 9th, one was WILDLY incorrect. Fortunately, Michelle was the one who assisted me that day and she was absolutely fantastic. However, somewhere along the line, wires were crossed. She had offered me an upgrade on my glasses to a different frame due to the time I'd had to wait, as well as the experience I'd had - and that my glasses were not made properly. Okay, great! I took the pair that was ready, went home - and realized that that pair had a defect in the arm. I took them back in and the person who assisted me then twisted the arm a bunch, making the problem worse, tightened the screw - which was not the problem - and told me it's fine now. It isn't fine now. They are worse off now than they were prior and for a pair of glasses I've not even had a month, they look like I've had them thrown around in a box for a few years. I know the store won't make it right and fix it or replace them, so at this point, I just have to hope for the best that the arm won't break off. On May 19th - which was also after the timeline I was given - I received another phone call that my replacement glasses were ready. I go in to pick them up... only to discover they've remade the pair that was supposed to be replaced. The vision is still messed up on those, but at this point, I'm so tired of the run around with everyone, it's whatever. I'm now out the money for the two pairs of glasses, my insurance visit is used for my contacts (which I'm not sure the prescription is right on, but Dana was insistent I would 'adjust' to these and refused to take any other answer, including for which brand/style I wanted to try), and this was truly a huge waste of time.
Seeing the reviews about Dana and her attitude I cant believe she still works here. Will NEVER be back. Was rude to us, and her colleague miela. Absolutely disgraceful. Promotion was bait and switch, the tech was high and didnt know what she was talking about. Telehealth eye exam, i cant believe this place. Dana is the singlehandedly rudest person ive ever encountered. Left without glasses as the price was 140 and I got charged almost 300 dollars. Dana talked over the employee multiple times. Do better . Already contacted corporate and I NEVER do that.
