I had an amazing experience getting my eye (contact & glasses) exam here. The staff was very friendly and made me feel supported from start to finish. I apologize because I am not sure how to spell her name but I think it was Elisa? Shes a dark skinned girl and had a long ponytail when I came by on 6/29. She was so sweet and got my entire exam done by herself in no time at all. She was sweet and patient with me. Definitely set me up for success. Then I was able to look through the big selection of frames they had and found 2 super cute pairs. I had the store associate Serena help me from here. She was friendly and talkative plus supported me with the frames I picked. I also just loved how the place is structured compared to America's Best (the normal place I go). I felt the prices were a bit cheaper, my exam came with all the testings including the dryness test. Then at the end of the exam my prescription was just given to me no questions asked. America's Best I had to ask, go up to the location, and overall felt it was a hassle to get my prescription information. This location it was just handed to me at the end of the exam. Serena literally told me why would she need to keep my information from me. Just overall I loved my time here!

Great experience at Stanton Optical in Gastonia, NC. We had three vision exams done and the entire process was quick, smooth, and efficient. The exam is a little different from a traditional eye doctor because part of the eye exam is done through a live chat screen with the assistant, but it actually worked really well. As a self-pay patient, I liked this process better than traditional offices because it was fast and straightforward. There was no upselling or pushy sales tactics, which I really appreciated. Carlos was amazing and took the time to explain all of the options clearly and helped us through everything. On my appointment the staff was great and picking out my glasses went good. My only concern was why did I not see or talk to the actual doctor or does that happen when you go back in to pick up your glasses. Even though I never saw the doctor I would highly recommend this office and yes I will use them again

I got my glasses today and I was supposed to get them yesterday but I did not then they told me id get them on the 10th but I got them a day later which is today. That irritates me a little because this place has a reputation of getting glasses done fast, well for me that wasnt the case. I would not come here if you have a high prescription, other than that everyone made me feel comfortable and happy

I can’t leave 5 stars b/c I was charged an additional $39 for a test that I did not request and was not told that I would be charged for. The young lady who checked me in & preformed the prescreening test was very nice & professional. I told her when we went back for the exam that “I only wanted the advertised $79 special.” I even ask her (while she was directing me from seat to seat for different test) if all these test were included in the exam. She said “yes, ma’am.” Next she set me up in the exam room for the virtual eye exam. No complaints w/ the procedure. Everything was more than efficient. The next step was choosing the frames. Carlos helped me. He was great! He was able to have 1 pair ready within 30 mins. The 2nd frames I chose weren’t in stock. I can pick them up in a couple of weeks. Everything was great until it was time to pay. $118. I’m not complaining about the price! That’s still a good deal for an exam & 2 basic frames w/ single lens. I did question how it went from $79 to $118. He explained that there was an additional $39 charge for the OTC test. I told him that I explicitly ask her if all these test were included in the exam. He said he would speak to her. I just paid & didn’t make a big deal about it… only because he was so nice & had been so helpful! However, that is why I can’t leave a 5 star review. Everything else was great! She may have been new. I like to think that I was not purposely deceived. I always appreciate & often make my appointments based off of other reviews. I feel like it’s definitely worth mentioning. I don’t think any company should be able to charge you for an additional test without telling you upfront. Especially…after I ask if all this was included. Right now $39 is half a tank of gas…
