Still sitting the lobby at 10:49 a.m. for a 9:45 a.m. appointment. I was respectful enough to show up at 9:15 a.m. to complete the paperwork since their electronic paperwork system failed to submit the 15 minutes of input I completed. They did call me back at 10 a.m. for eye photos then sent me back to the lobby to wait. It is now 10:52 a.m. Hopefully the doctor is worth the wait and not a great first time impression. It appears this doctor might overbook. 11:04 a.m. Still waiting... 11:11 a.m. Still waiting... Out at 12:03 p.m. Saw the doctor for 8 minutes. Almost 3 hour wait for 8 minutes doesn't really work for me.

As a new client .with issues related to a stroke. I expected a much more indepth check up to establish a current base line to ccompare with existing info provided by a prior doctor. Outside of of a pressure check of the eyes , it was more about a known catartic issue and related surgery. As I know my vision issue has improved from the original time of testing by by the first doctor. without any current testing to compare , how can one say that nothing can be done to help. It could be the eyeware I was fitted with st the time needs to be reviewed.

It is unacceptable for a 91 year old man to sit in a walker for 2.5 hours to be seen by the doctor. The reason for the walker is that I can’t get out of your chairs. You need an express service to assist patients with disabilities. As I talked with others waiting, someone told me that they had been waiting for up to 5 hours to see the doctor. Your scheduling service needs a revamp. I would like a response from the office. The point of my review was to bring light to the fact that waiting for an excessive amount of time is unacceptable, not the conditions of your seating arrangement. You should have an express service for elderly disabled people. If anyone waits for more than one hour, you need to discount your services. My time is just as valuable as yours,

My other half has been to the Texoma Retina Ctr in Paris TX a couple of times. While the doctor may be competent, and seems to be well liked by his patients, the office is simply not able to keep up with the appointments they set. Every time we were there it was a 2 to 3 hour wait to see the doctor. Very unreasonable. Either patients are overbooked or there is a serious lack of efficiency in the staff and the doctor. It's ridiculous to have to wait that long. No reason at all for it. We waited about 2 hours past our app time last time we went, then left as we still had not seen the doctor. Won't be going back again. There are other doctors in the area just as qualified and worth going to. Will also be looking into finding out if there is some sort of regulatory agency to file a complaint with. No reason is given by the staff for the exceptionally long wait times.

I have been getting shots in both eyes, once a month for 10 years. I saw Dr Khetpal for the first time in March, I just moved back to Texas from Mississippi. He examined my eyes and told me I didn't need shots, to come back in May. He told me that Drs just used insurance companies when it came to shots. I disagreed. I came back in May and he had scheduled a shot in my left eye, which is my bad eye, not my better eye that I can see out of. I asked him why he wasn't giving me a shot in my better eye so I could maintain my vision and he got huffy and said okay I'll give you a shot in your right eye. After giving me a shot in my left eye, he prepped the right eye but did not give me a shot. I'm 80 yrs old and been getting shots for 10 years, I know when i get a shot. I contacted my insurance company and he had billed for two shots. They are investigating. In top if all that, I got a bill for $29 and also when I went in I gave them 4 years of medical records. They lost them and did not scan them into their computer. A word to the wise, be very careful going there. Very, very unprofessional.
